Quick info
About The Cannick Tapps
The Cannick Tapps is a cellar pub in London on Cannon St, at 105-109, with candles on each table and a doorman at the entrance. Craft beers rotate through the bar, and craft nights bring discounted beers. The kitchen serves a burger with triple-cooked chips, with an option to add an extra patty, and a vegan mac n cheese for those who skip meat. At lunch, a meal deal pairs pizza with a soft drink. Karaoke nights with a DJ give the room a live evening format. Sunday brings a bottomless brunch with unlimited drinks for 2 hours.

Customer Review Summary
Drink deals draw the most mentions, especially the 2-for-1 cocktails, which reviewers pair with craft beer nights and a prosecco and vodka selection they found well priced. Food comes close behind: a burger with triple-cooked chips and an extra patty option, pizza on the lunch menu, a vegan mac n cheese called tasty but a bit small, and a delicious doner kebab. One group also enjoyed a Sunday bottomless brunch. Reviewers describe friendly, helpful staff, great music, and a relaxed, welcoming room that one calls clean and tidy. The complaints are specific. One reviewer who ordered an Aperol spritz says the bar confirmed the 2-for-1, yet the bill did not look like a deal, and calls it terrible lies. Another notes the lunch meal deal has no vegan option. One reviewer reports being refused entry by a doorman and describes threatening remarks and a racial insult, while praising the bar staff. Another group came for the cocktail deal and a light bite and found quick service, low lighting, and candles on each table.

“Awful experience. I arrived at 21:30 and spoke to the doorman (not the usual polite and friendly concierge who works there on Thursday nights). He refused me entry. I politely offered to wait until other customers left the venue, but instead he engaged in an unprofessional and confrontational exchange. During this interaction, he made threatening remarks towards me. When I asked to see his SIA badge, he refused to provide it. I also asked him not to address me using terms such as “brother,” after which I was called a “cracker.” Because of this experience, I will not be returning. This is particularly disappointing as the bar staff are always excellent, and I know Michael, the karaoke DJ, well. It’s a sad way to end things, especially as I had a great evening here previously on Tuesday 9th December 2025.”

“Just visited Cannick, Iv Got to say I had a fantastic time. We went for 2-4-1 cocktails and a light bite. The atmosphere was great, low mood lighting and candles on each table. We received quick and attentive service from the two wonderful bar team they had on. As for the food, couldn’t recommend more. Quick service and great quality. The lunch menu is a great option £9.50 for pizza and soft drink. How could you go wrong. Would defiantly recommend checking this place out.”

“I had a great experience at Cannick Tapp and would definitely recommend it. The food was a real highlight—fresh, well-presented, and packed with flavour. There was a good variety on the menu, and everything we tried felt thoughtfully prepared and satisfying. The atmosphere was equally impressive. It strikes a nice balance between lively and relaxed, making it a great spot whether you’re catching up with friends or just unwinding after a long day. The decor and overall vibe create a welcoming, comfortable environment. The drinks selection didn’t disappoint either. There’s a solid range to choose from, including well-made cocktails and a good mix of beers and other options. Service at the bar was efficient, and the staff seemed knowledgeable about what they were serving. Overall, Cannick Tapp delivers a well-rounded experience with great food, a pleasant atmosphere, and quality drinks. I’d happily go back again.”

“What a fantastic find! On our way to St Paul's and came across this gem. It's small but so cosy with great food. Ended up having a doner kebab which was delicious.”
