About The Railway Tavern
The Railway Tavern is a pub at 15 Liverpool St in London, close to Liverpool Street Station and open daily. Upstairs, dart boards and an interactive darts game sit in the area where guests also watch the match, and sport is shown on screens across Sky and TNT Sports. The Office Bar, a private function room on the top floor, is available to hire for events, with screens and a mic for speeches. The rest of the pub is divided into lounges and sections on different levels, including a nook where a table can be booked. The bar pours beers on tap and cask ales, and the kitchen serves fish & chips, pies and burgers. Guests can order from their phones and have the food and drinks brought to the table.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the private function space upstairs, where one organiser hosted just over 100 guests with screens and a mic for speeches. The team suggested how to split a food and drink budget, and the organiser said it worked out perfectly. Another reviewer who booked the space for a private event describes the staff as accommodating and the guests as delighted. Close behind are the food and the friendly service. Diners mention fish and chips described as lovely and fresh, a first Sunday roast finished with sticky toffee pudding, and food arriving piping hot on a busy Friday night. One manager went through the allergens step by step. Others praise the beers on tap, the outdoor tables, the different levels, a booked table in a nook where nobody needed to shout, and upstairs dart boards for watching the match. The one criticism comes from a reviewer on a big football match day, who found the server slow and apparently new, repeatedly asking colleagues what to do. Another reviewer phoned the next day about a lost phone and found staff had kept it safe.

“Lost my phone and didn’t expect to ever see it again. Phoned the next day on the off-chance to find out the staff had found it and looked after it for me! Amazing! Faith in humanity restored!”

“The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The staff were very friendly especially the manager Mario who was very welcoming and helpful going through the allergens step by step. Great mix of locals and tourists, with a relaxed vipe! Will definitely be coming back and would happily recommend it to anyone looking for a proper pub experience”

“We hired the large private function room on the first floor for an event of just over 100 people. Laura and the team were great help in accommodating our requests and making sure things ran smoothly. We provided a budget for food and drink and the team provided their suggestions on how this should be distributed, which on the night was perfect. They also had screens and a mic for speeches. Would highly recommend for any private event.”
