About Lady Abercorn's Pub & Kitchen

Lady Abercorn's Pub & Kitchen is a pub in London at 40 Liverpool St, by Liverpool Street station. It connects to the Andaz Hotel, and that link gives guests access through to a hotel bar as well as the pub itself. Wood panelling and wooden finishes run throughout, and the space splits into a main room, a smaller room and dining rooms. The bar pours cask beers and ales alongside regular lagers, with a wide beer selection to choose from. Screens show live sport, including football and F1, and the interior has air conditioning. A security guard is on duty.

Customer Review Summary

Reviewers most often single out the beer, wine and food, with the bangers and mash called some of the best one diner has had in a long while, and the fish and chips, burgers and Sunday roast also named as popular. The fries earn their own praise from a football-watching visitor. Close behind come the ornate wood-panelled rooms, the working air conditioning on a hot day, and the toilets, which one reviewer calls gorgeous. Several describe friendly, efficient staff and say there is room to get a table near the station. Sports screens and F1 get a mention too. Complaints centre on cost and a few service lapses. One reviewer pays a high price for a Neck Oil IPA, and another notes there is no table service and no table numbers. One says a security guard rudely demanded more drinks shortly after a round was finished, and another reports a waiter dropping about 15 glasses onto a man's head without apologising, then offering crisps five minutes later.

“Good location - near Liverpool Street Station. A decent range of drinks. We didn't eat here so cannot speak to the food. Friendly, efficient bar service. Pleasant decor and toilets.”

“It’s the only pub by Liverpool Street station where you can get a table, good vibes, excellent food and fantastic service. It’s my local and Kenny has in particular today gone above and beyond. My friends haven’t been here before, and they also highly approve. It’s a pub with functioning aircon and I would like to add the toilets are gorgeous (not what you expect in a pub). They don’t do cocktails, but for beer, wine and chill and good vibes, this is the place👌🏼”

“Lady Abercorn’s Pub & Kitchen offers a polished mix of traditional British pub charm and modern dining, making it a great stop whether you’re after a relaxed pint, a proper meal, or a pre-travel drink near Euston Station. The interior feels stylish yet comfortable, with warm lighting, wooden finishes, and a calm atmosphere that stands out from many busy station pubs. The food is a strong point here, with classic pub dishes presented with a more refined touch. The fish and chips, burgers, and Sunday roast options are especially popular, and portions are generous without feeling overly heavy. The drinks menu also has a good range of beers, wines, cocktails, and premium spirits. Service is usually friendly and efficient, even during busy periods when travellers and commuters fill the venue. Staff tend to keep things moving smoothly while still remaining welcoming and attentive. Prices are slightly higher than an average pub, but the quality of the setting, food, and central location make it feel worthwhile. Overall, Lady Abercorn’s Pub & Kitchen is a reliable and comfortable London pub that works equally well for casual drinks, dinner, or meeting friends before a train journey.”

“I really enjoyed this place and would have stayed for multiple more drinks during the football however less than a minute after taking the last sip of our drinks, the security guard came over demanding we ordered more drinks, very rudely, not just to us but the man next to us who had also just finished his. I was deciding what I wanted to eat and drink as we waiting 2 minutes until half time, at this point we decided to leave, the security guard really let yourselves down and won’t be returning as we do not want to be spoken to that way again”

“Waiter dropped about 15 glasses on a man’s head which smashed everywhere, tried to argue that someone knocked him and did not apologise at all. 5 minutes later came over with some crisps to try and make up for this”
