  “Called in for a Sunday dinner & was not disappointed,we had the two for £40 Sunday dinner platter,we are both not lovers of beef so we inquired if we could just have extra chicken instead of the beef & was told this wasn’t a problem.I can’t state enough how tasty the food was absolutely delicious.The service was most excellent too from the young lady who was most accommodating.My two grandsons really enjoyed their food too,both are a bit fussy so praise indeed.We had a desert between us which was fantastic also.Will definitely call again for Sunday lunch.We pre-booked btw.”

  “Had a fantastic breakfast at On The Vine in Liverpool. The Eggs Royal were absolutely delicious and cooked perfectly. Everything was beautifully presented, and the quality was excellent. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, and the staff were friendly and attentive. A hidden gem in the city centre and definitely somewhere I'll be returning to. Highly recommend! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐”

  “Attempted to visit today as a family this morning, two adults, a teenager, a 4 year old and a baby. Waited 10 minutes to be brought menus, then a further 10 minutes to be asked what we wanted to drink. After asking for a white chocolate milkshake we were told, ‘no milkshakes as it’s busy.’ Asked for a white chocolate frappe ‘oh sorry, I also meant no frappes’. Please bear in mind that there was one large table and one table of two in addition to us at the time. Made our orders and asked if it was possible to make a side portion/kids portion of pancakes. The waitress went to ask the chef who said no that it wasn’t possible. I fail to understand how the chef could not simply make less pancakes. We have visited before and they did this without an issue. At this point we just left. Absolutely abysmal service. Will never visit again, which is a shame.”

  “This is my 4th time in this lovely little restaurant. Last time only called in for coffee so was only there 10 mins. Never the less, the service from Emily was, as always, exemplary. This time I visited with my wife and youngest son. I once again had the (delicious) eggs Benedict. The wife went for the full English and couldn't finish it as it was so filling. My son had the breakfast burrito. Atmosphere, service, (once again from Emily), faultless. Food superb. Now for the bad parts...there isn't one as far as I'm concerned. Please do yourself a favour and if you are ever near to Tithebarn street, please try this establishment out, you won't regret it!”

  “Wow. Another gorgeous meal with family and excellent service from Emily. It has an amazing atmosphere and the staff are so lovely. Emily made us feel really welcome and made sure we were looked after. Great service. Cannot wait to return. I would definitely recommend on the vine to everyone. Would give 10 stars if I could.”

  “We visited a few Sundays ago after I was lucky enough to win a £200 bar tab voucher, and honestly had such a lovely experience from start to finish. I brought a group of friends along with a couple of their little ones for a roast, and the whole afternoon was just fab. The girls who looked after us were so friendly, attentive and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble, even with a big table and kids involved! The food was gorgeous, the roasts were really tasty, and the atmosphere was lovely and relaxed. A huge thank you to the team for making it such a great day for all of us. We’ll definitely be back 🤍”

  “We dined here for a light evening dinner on Friday 27th march. We had no plans where to go and randomly found this eatery as we were walking through town. The atmosphere was very warm and welcoming as was the lovely lady on the bar- please find a way of allowing tips by card, I rarely carry cash and you were deserving of a tip. There was a wait for the food, which we had helpfully been advised prior to seating. However the wait was worth it. We ordered from the small plates menu and got a Mac and cheese each and Italian meatballs in Ragu to share. It was lovely. The pasta was cooked just right, not too al dente not too soft. The sauce was creamy and not too rich. Paired with the very noticeably hand made meatballs which were seasoned and cooked perfectly and rich Ragu, which is one of the best I've tasted it made for an excellent meal. I should however have ordered some garlic bread or something similar to mop up the sauce. We ordered 2 cocktails each, hot honey and mocha espresso martini. Both were very nice. Unfortunately they couldn't make the cocktails we initially wanted as they didn't have the ingredients at the time, but that wasn't a big issue for us, the food was our primary focus for going there after seeing their menu as we walked past. It looked so quaint and niche being hidden away down some steps. Would highly recommend. Would definitely visit again. Partner has been edited out of the picture with AI to protect her privacy”

  “We went here for the £5 gyros lunch deal as part of Liverpool Restaurant Week (normally £10) 🙌 And I must say first impressions were the restaurant looked very nice and the decor was modern, light and welcoming. The food was amazing to be honest, particularly the homemade flatbread and the seasoned oregano fries 🍟 were beautiful 😍 Unfortunately, the toilets 🚻 were out of order, which was the only issue we had. The staff were lovely - Grace front of house and the chefs (Sean & Ellie) made our food with care. For tasty fresh food, please give this local independent a try!”

  “Had a lovely roast here with the wife, it was exceptional. Roast beef was fantastic, Yorkshire pudding was the size of your head, veg was really flavourful and plenty of gravy on the plate too! Would highly recommend! May 2025 and it was 2 courses for £18 or 3 for £20”
