About Castle St Townhouse
Castle St Townhouse is an English restaurant and bar at 25-27 Castle St in Liverpool, serving food and drinks all day. The format combines breakfast, brunch and bar under one roof, so a morning meeting and a cocktail evening can happen in the same room. Bottomless brunch is part of that lineup, which gives the brunch service a drinks-led option alongside the food. The team runs the place around three things: food quality, drinks and service. Dogs are welcome.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the staff, describing them as friendly, helpful and professional, with several saying they felt looked after even on a quiet day. Drinks come close behind, with cocktails and a bottomless brunch praised for a variety that goes well beyond standard prosecco. The food draws equally warm comments, from fish and chips and steak and chips to a salmon bagel, avocado toast with poached eggs and a Sunday roast called good value, though one reviewer finds the menu limited. The atmosphere is described as lively, relaxed and comfy, and one reviewer enjoys the outdoor seating in good weather. The main criticism comes from one regular who says service has changed this year, citing frequent staff turnover, too little training and mistakes around menu knowledge. In a different visit, when desserts took a while to arrive, the staff took the drinks off the bill.

“I’ve visited frequently since living in liverpool for the last year! Honestly to say, the food has been spectacular, pretty affordable too in my opinion. The plating of most of the brunch meals is nearly perfect every time, i’ve recommended food here to many people. The atmosphere is beyond amazing and lively in the summer and has been great even during last winter too! All cutlery and plates, glasses and such are clean and orderly,i’ve never had an issue with this. Everything else about the service has changed since this year mostly because the staff change very often.I don’t think they have enough training and i hate to be rude but if an establishment can’t keep waiting staff around, something must be wrong.Ive witnessed hazardous mistakes, and i hope to pass this on through reviews for management to be very careful how you train your staff on menus too. Will miss this place!”

“Came in in for a quiet drink and left with an unforgettable experience, drinks were amazing and tasted brilliant. Was served by Michael as he explained the drinks very thoroughly. Kept us entertained and recommended places to visit while we stayed in the city. Great customer service and atmosphere all around, will visit again if we come back!”

“Went a really quiet day of the week, but the staffs atmosphere stayed upbeat and I felt genuinely looked after and like a valued guest. The cocktails were amazing, woke up more rotten than I'd went to bed! Lovely chill vibes for drinking alone, and staff that make the overall atmosphere feel really safe.”

“Not able to comment about food (never eaten there). The service is excellent and professional. This is a great place to relax outside, undisturbed, when the weather is good. Attentive staff without being pushy.”

“Castle St Townhouse is the city's all-day dining and drinking destination of choice from sunrise to sundown. Located in the heart of liverpool's bustling commercial district, the go-to establishment combines the 'three b's' (breakfast, brunch and bar), blending the lines between social breakfast meetings and cocktail nights. Our philosophy is quite simple: exceptional food quality, great drinks and outstanding service - all day, every day.”
