Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the service, describing staff as friendly, attentive and professional, with one server and others credited for going above and beyond on celebrations. Birthday cake and complimentary dessert plates for a graduation and an anniversary are repeated touches. Food comes close behind, with sirloin and fillet steaks cooked perfectly, chips with red wine gravy, Parmesan and truffle fries with peppercorn sauce, a Monkfish and Prawn Keralan Curry, scallops to start and chocolate truffles to finish. One afternoon tea guest was surprised that the sandwiches, filled with chicken and salmon, were a good size. The room is called beautiful, classy but relaxed, with one party seated in the Amazon rainforest area and another enjoying the teapots served with tea. Several note it is a little more expensive than average but say the whole experience justifies it, and one says they never felt rushed. The one criticism is a work lunch where service was a bit inattentive at times, though it did not bother the diners, who still praised a perfectly cooked sirloin.

“We went for afternoon tea and the food was absolutely amazing. We didn’t know what to expect as usually portions are quite small but the sandwiches where a good size filled with chicken, salmon ect and we were genuinely full afterwords. Sebastian was great aswell.”

“Phenomenal! We’d planned on going to another restaurant nearby which was meant to be open until 11pm but closed at 8pm… As if fate decided to intervene, we walked past The Ivy and smelt a waft of great smelling food so we decided to eat here. Luckily there were a few tables left in the Brasserie… The food was incredible and worth every penny. The Wine was also lovely! None of us (3) ever usually order Steak out in the UK, but we all ordered a steak (2 fillets , 1 sirloin) - Cooked beautifully, one with chips and red wine gravy & two of us Parmesan & truffle fries with peppercorn sauce - also divine. We also had a hollandaise sauce for the chips which is the first time I’ve ever appreciated/ enjoyed this sauce All of the staff we spoke to were really attentive, were clearly enjoying working there (it makes a difference to some places…) and super polite / professional but ELLIE (I hope that’s spelt right)- our main waitress was absolutely amazing & super personable. The actual restaurant itself is so beautiful and calming. *It’s my birthday tomorrow but we were having a meal out tonight with my mum as she won’t be with us in Liverpool tomorrow night & this was mentioned for 2 seconds in front of our waitress Ellie. With our last few drinks, I ended up being brought a delicious little birthday cake with a candle (little but incredibly and deliciously tasty and decadent!) It was a truly memorable and special evening ❤️ My mum and I have been to the Ivy in London which was lovely My husband and I didn’t have the best experience at the Ivy in Birmingham However, The Ivy Liverpool is an absolute delight. We WILL be returning soon Thank you all very much”

“Food was gorgeous as per usual. We were celebrating my graduation and all the staff were amazing. However Brooke in particular was excellent, she went above and beyond to ensure we had the best time and even gave me a complimentary dessert to say congratulations. She’s a credit to the restaurant honestly. Thank you so much, can’t wait to be back soon!”

“★★★★★ We had a wonderful experience at The Ivy Liverpool Brasserie. From the moment we arrived, the service was first class—friendly, attentive and professional throughout. The food was very good, with every dish beautifully presented and full of flavour. The building itself is stunning, and the interior is absolutely beautiful, making the whole experience feel that little bit more special. Overall, an excellent evening and one we’ll definitely be repeating. Highly recommended.”

“Had a fantastic meal at The Ivy Brasserie. From the moment we arrived, the service was friendly, attentive and professional, making us feel really welcome. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated with a great atmosphere – it feels classy without being pretentious. We got seated in the Amazon rainforest area which was such a cool vibe! The food was excellent, with every dish presented beautifully and full of flavour. I got the Monkfish and Prawn Keralan Curry which was just delicious! My missus got the Sirloin Steak which she said was delicious too. Although it’s a little more expensive than your average restaurant, the quality of the food, service and overall experience makes it well worth it. Perfect for a date night, celebrating a special occasion, or just treating yourself. We’ll definitely be returning.”
