Customer Review Summary
Reviewers consistently single out the pasta as the centerpiece, with the Bolognese and Cacio e Pepe drawing particular praise, and the meatballs described by one diner as tasting like a grandfather's homemade recipe. Close behind, small plates get repeated mentions, especially the fried olives, tuna tartare, scallops, and calamari, along with the pizzetta with vodka sauce. Desserts come up often too, with the cheesecake and tiramisu both called out as standouts. Servers are frequently praised as friendly and attentive, guiding diners through the menu and wine list. One visit noted a genuine caveat, a partially open kitchen that creates a lively but noisy dining room, a longer than expected wait for food, and main courses that underwhelmed, with the fish described as oversalted and the crab pasta lacking depth. Even that reviewer said they would return, and several others describe going back multiple times without a bad experience, with more than one planning to return specifically to try the new menu.

“Been a couple of times and never had a bad experience. Food is superb; arguably one of the best pasta dishes in the city for their Bolognese. Front of house are also extremely affable and attentive.”

“This is a little gem in Liverpool. We went there as we were going to a comedy event nearby and the reviews were excellent. It did not disappoint. The food was incredible. We had the fried olives, definitely a must for any olive lovers, and the scallops both mouthwatering. We shared a chicken Milanese and a lamb pizzete both again incredible. Our waitress, Blaise, was relaxed but very nice and attentive. I can highly recommend this restaurant!”

“We having been wanting to try here and wish we had come sooner. Everything exceeded our expectations. Our servers Adam & Jack were lovely, talked us through the menu. The food was absolutely delicious. The pizzette was super light fluffy & full of flavour, as was the Cacio E Pepe sauce. Calamari was also a highlight. Thank you so much! 🍝”

“I had been wanting to visit this place for a while, and I finally made it there for dinner. I was really impressed by the interior and overall design of the restaurant, it has a unique atmosphere that I truly enjoyed. A big plus for the partially open kitchen, which almost feels like a stage. Due to the layout of the space, it does get quite noisy. It didn’t bother me personally, but it’s something to keep in mind. The service was attentive, engaged, and very friendly. The waiting time for the food was quite long, which was a bit surprising and slightly affected the overall experience. All the dishes we ordered looked fantastic. The olives and tuna tartare were excellent, and the pizzetta with vodka sauce was absolutely delicious. The main courses, however, were slightly disappointing. The crab pasta was good and well-prepared, but lacked a real wow factor and depth of flavour. The fish, unfortunately, was oversalted. That said, I’m still very glad I visited this place. I would recommend it and would happily come back again.”
