About The Bulldog Bar

Children are welcome at The Bulldog Bar, a pub in Liverpool that runs as a family pub with meals ordered for both adults and younger diners. A kitchen and chef sit behind the food side, while the bar pours pints with beer available on tap. No booking is needed, so drinkers and diners arrive as walk-ins and order at the bar. Tables outside give the option of eating and drinking in the open air, and food can also be ordered to take away for eating off site. A step-free, wheelchair-accessible entrance lets visitors with mobility needs get in without a step. The doors open daily.

Customer Review Summary

The pint is what brings most reviewers through the door, with several singling out the beer on tap and describing a decent pint at prices they call great and reasonable. Close behind is the welcome: visitors and returning locals describe friendly staff, friendly regulars and a great atmosphere, with room to sit quietly or join the company, weekend entertainment, and a spot a few rate for watching the match. Food earns warm words too, one calling it fabulous and another crediting new management and a new chef for food ten times better. Against that, one diner reports a wait of an hour and a half for basic food with children at the table and no manager coming out to speak to them, saying orders from friends and staff were served ahead of theirs. Another describes rude treatment from a woman running the place, including girls being asked to leave over a cookie brought in from elsewhere. One reviewer who travels a distance suggests phoning first, having arrived to find it closed.

The woman who runs its is very rude and loves to talk to younger boys but kicks the girls out of the cafe??? Customer service is awful she is always on the phone when servicing customers and dismisses the things that they say however allows sixth form boys to do whatever they want and eat whatever they want in there but kicks the girls out for eating a cookie from another place.

How this listing is sourced

Where the data comes from
Name, address, hours, contact details, amenities, ratings and review counts come from the business's publicly available profile data — not from the owner and not from paid submissions.
How it stays current
Listings are re-checked in batches against their public profile, and anything reported as wrong is corrected at the source rather than patched on the page.
How it is ranked
Placement is never sold. Every business on the page is ordered and compared using the same public signals, so an owner cannot pay to move up.
