About The Derby Lodge
The Derby Lodge runs as an Everton-themed pub on Prescot Rd in the Old Swan area of Liverpool, decked throughout in Everton flags and football decor. Live football is the anchor, and when Liverpool and Everton play at the same time, both matches go up together, so supporters of either club can follow their own game in the same room. Beer is poured at the bar by the bar staff, and food is served too, with meals carried out to the table. There is no booking system, so drinkers walk in and find a spot, which suits anyone deciding on the day that they want somewhere to catch a match. The pub draws a crowd of regulars from the surrounding streets. The doors open daily.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often describe The Derby Lodge as a welcoming local for watching the football, especially for Everton fans, with one saying it shows both Liverpool and Everton games when they clash and another calling it the best place for the footy. Friendly owners and staff come up repeatedly, including a barmaid who helped a first-time visitor without being asked and a server who went over and above during a meal. Diners mention a tasty meal, cheap beer and a clean, tidy pub with spotless toilets. One reviewer says the crowd is all over 30 and there is never any trouble, and another stopped in with friends after the post-parade chaos and found the owners some of the friendliest people they had met. The one critical account calls the pub not pleasant and very rough, saying they did not feel comfortable at all, though they later added that they remembered the Everton flags. A former local player also notes the building once housed a Huyton and District Football League team called The Derby that won trophies in the 1980s.

“Hi, Mr Manager your Lodge is noted for its footy theme but where is your true sense of history, many years ago this (then pub) building was the actual home of another famous team, one in which I played a long and successful part. I see nothing within that informs your customers of this greater period that still resonates throughout the rooms of your lodge. History and the records of tell of your past. You should look find and exhibit. To an amazing response! Kind regards Added Nov 22. When your Lodge was a humble yet Local Pub. The Derby. Winners of many trophies during the 1980s in Huyton and District Football League.”
