About The Belmont
The Belmont works as a traditional, old school local, a bar set at the Belmont Hotel in Liverpool that keeps things simple for drinkers dropping in. A pool table sits on one side of the room, and the jukebox is free to play. A second room at the back can be taken over by groups who want their own space. No booking is involved, so drinks are ordered at the bar as you arrive, and the doors open daily. The crowd comes largely from the surrounding area, and on match days the pub serves as a stop-off for a drink on the walk down to Anfield.

Customer Review Summary
The welcome is what reviewers return to again and again, from both the bar staff and the regulars, with several visitors describing walking in as obvious outsiders and being drawn straight into conversation. One group dressed for a hen do writes that locals wanted to show them the second room and say hi, and another says they had a better time there than at the festival that brought them to Liverpool. Close behind sits the entertainment: the free jukebox and the pool table come up repeatedly, one reviewer praises the DJ, and others point to it as a good spot for the football or a stop on the walk down to Anfield. Also mentioned are cold beer, black fruits cider and prices reviewers call proper and reasonable, alongside a clean, casual feel. One visitor recalls table service and masks while walking about or playing pool. Several call it a proper old school local, one where the back room disco ball got switched on for a visiting group with no complaints about their music choices.

“Such a friendly traditional local. As strangers dressed for a hen do we must have looked a sight, but both the staff and the locals were so friendly. Good choice of drinks at very reasonable prices, clean and welcoming atmosphere. When we took over the duke box and the back room they turned the disco ball on for us and no complaints about our music choices. Had a better time there than at the festival we’d come to Liverpool for.”

“Great atmosphere! When we walked in everyone looked at us as there were only locals in the pub. But they were very welcoming- everyone wanted to show us the second room, play with us or at least say hi! It was heartwarming and made our stay in the neighbourhood quite special. + they serve my favourite black fruits cider and the prices are great!”
