Customer Review Summary

The criticism is sharper but less frequent. One diner found the baby squid tasteless, the dip awful and the king prawn spicy noodle soup bland, and said the king prawn curry held four tiny prawns and was too salty to finish. When the server was called over, the reply was only a sorry. Another reviewer was refused a student discount for a group of eight, though the listed terms mention no group size limit.

“Really disappointed with our trip to Pho. Visited as part of a university society, enjoyed some nice Vietnamese food only to find the restaurant would not honour our student discount due to our group size of 8. Pho's listed terms and conditions state nothing regarding group size, only a generic message stating the discount can be removed at management's discretion. As such, I would, and encourage other students to, not eat at this establishment under the assumption of receiving the stated discount, as management are clearly unreliable and unaccountable regarding its policy of usage. Regardless, behind this pleasant albeit quiet (at our time of visit) restaurant is some delicious indochinese comfort food.”

“We had a great experience at Pho. Liz was super helpful and let us choose our seating, so we were able to settle into a quiet area, which made for a really relaxing meal. We were also assisted by two other team members who were just as helpful and attentive, which made the whole visit feel smooth and welcoming. The food was delicious, and the restaurant itself was spotless and lovely. Highly recommend, and we'll definitely be back!”

“Lovely meal at Pho as usual!! Had the crispy pork spring rolls with the peanut sauce and the beef brisket classic curry was divine! Would 100% recommend.”
  • Chris King
“Arrived and was greeted by a nice member of staff. Shown to our table and handed a grotty paper menu. Server was polite and friendly. Food was disappointing. Baby Squid tasteless. The dip was awful. Main course of king Prawn Spicy Noodle Soup was bland. King Prawn curry had 4 tiny prawns and was so salty I left half of it. Called the server over who just said sorry about that. £55 for the privilege.”
