Customer Review Summary
Avocado and halloumi on sourdough with hot honey is the dish breakfast and brunch visitors single out most, described as tasty and delicious. Close behind is the new evening menu of small plates, where diners name the arancini twice, along with the steak, mushrooms and a burrata flatbread, and one reviewer ate almost every plate. Also mentioned are the veggie breakfast, waffles, chorizo mushrooms, a sundae and excellent coffee, with portions called generous. Staff come up in most reviews as friendly and attentive, and several describe a cosy, welcoming room with good music, plus outdoor seating that suits summer evenings. One reviewer wishes the menu had more vegan options, saying the shortage makes repeat visits less likely. Another recalls being brought cold water as soon as they sat down on a warm morning.

“An absolutely lovely place. Comfortable and cosy with a chilled out vibe. Friendly attentive staff. Excellent coffee. Generous portions of really tasty food. Shame there aren't more vegan options on the menu though as it makes repeat visits less likely.”

“Just lovely lovely lovely! I was there as a solo diner and the vibe is perfect and cosy and welcoming, even down to the cushions which are soooo comfy. I will do everything in my power to come back while I’m staying in Lincoln. A must visit and definitely get the sundae!”

“Myself and my husband visited this gorgeous café this morning just as we were passing and we were super impressed by the service, food quality and quantity and the setting itself. Ben our waiter was incredible, very attentive, helpful and kind. Nothing was too much trouble. We were given cold water as soon as we sat down which was very much appreciated as it was quite a warm morning and our drinks ordered was efficient and tasty. I ordered the avacado and hallumi and it was absolutely delicious. I can't wait to bring my friends and family here. Wonderful experience. I highly recommend this café.”

“The team at The Sycamore are so friendly and attentive. It was reasonably busy but we still got served, and ate comfortably within an hour. The food was good quality and at a great price. I had the avacado with haloumi and hot honey on sourdough - sooo tasty! My daughter in law had The Sycamore breakfast and loved it. Great coffee as well! My son and daughter-in-law have just moved into West Parade after a spell in Australia, and this was our first visit for a Sat morning brunch and so excited for them to have somewhere like this on their doorstep. A nice bit of music in the background but you can still chat so a nice summer vibe to the place. Parking - if you just take your time, you’ll find a space on the on-street parking areas (some areas are permit only but there are some that allow general/up to 2 hrs) parking.”
