About Seven Districts Coffee - Bailgate
Seven Districts Coffee - Bailgate is a speciality coffee shop at 1 St Paul's Ln in Lincoln, in the centre near the cathedral and the high street. The breakfast menu includes a build-a-bagel option and a breakfast bap, and the lunch side adds a chilli halloumi wrap. Brunch and light bites run alongside the coffee, and alcohol is served too. Customer Review Summary
Reviewers return most for the food, and the wraps and bagels come up most often: a BBQ chicken wrap with skin-on fries, a chilli halloumi wrap, a very well toasted avocado bagel and the build a bagel option. Close behind are the BBQ baked beans and breakfast bap, described as simple things done very well, along with the carrot cake. Coffee also earns praise, from a latte that came promptly to an interesting beetroot latte, though one decaf drinker found theirs bitter. Staff are repeatedly called friendly and welcoming, and the roof terrace and outdoor seating are liked for their view of Lincoln, with dogs welcome. Complaints are fewer but specific. One reviewer found a server unsmiling during a busy festival, another noted slowish service, and one was frustrated that cash is not taken. The toilets were called small with no changing table, and one diner kept a coat on because it was so cold indoors.

“We recently visited for some food and coffee and had an enjoyable experience. The food was nice, the premises were exceptionally clean and well maintained, and the staff were absolutely lovely, friendly and welcoming. It was also great that dogs are welcome too! Our only disappointment was discovering that they don't accept cash and operate a card-only payment policy. I personally struggle to understand why businesses choose not to accept cash, and it's something I find rather frustrating. Overall, a lovely place with wonderful staff, a welcoming atmosphere and great cleanliness. Just a shame about the cashless policy!”

“Went in during the steampunk festival and the girl serving us wasn't rude but definitely wasn't friendly. Didn't even smile at us, just asked what we wanted. Coffee was a bit on the bitter side, I have decaf though so might have just been that. Outside seating was nice, not a smoking area but view is good all the same. Staff who brought our drinks was friendlier than the girl. Toilets were small and one lady had to change her baby on the sink as no changing table. Won't be rushing back. Sorry to say it, hopefully some extra training can be provided.”

“The breakfast and lunch menu were incredibly. Simple things done very well. The bbq baked beans were the best we’ve ever tasted as a group and the breakfast bap was perfect, as was the coffee”
