  “Was looking forward to a coffee/croissant, eschewed Nero in favour of a local business following colleague recommendation… Black American and a plain croissant (no butter, jam or warming offered) for just under £9. I didn’t question the price at time but clearly my expectations were elevated. Took a short while to arrive but received an apology for delay. Coffee ok, but not exceptional. Croissant revolting, cold, rubbery, dry in parts. Inedible to my taste, left majority. Enquired of the server re the freshness of the product and provided the description as above. Apparently they were delivered this morning, but delivery time is not an indication of freshness and the response clearly didn’t answer my very polite enquiry. Received a relatively cursory apology but no offer of an alternative, to investigate my observations further or a refund. Several times both servers passed my table after my comments but no pro activity to either understand or resolve my complaint. A far superior product is available via the Lidl Bakery Counter…and let’s face it at significantly different price point. Overall extremely underwhelming on all fronts, left scratching my head how a toasted tea cake with jam and butter is an offered for c.£2 less than the croissant.”

  “If you are a quality coffee lover then this place might be one to miss. I judge coffee shops by the quality of their flat white. The one I ordered tasted too bitter like the coffee machine pressure was set too high (or perhaps the beans were burnt from roasting); there was more foam than a cappuccino - that’s a complete sin; and virtually no rich crema. The least satisfying FW this year. The only plus side is that the rear courtyard was quite nice to relax.”

  “lovely experience in the heatwave, bought a strawberry mojito (alc free) cooler, fresh strawberries, very delicious. Lots of nice seating inside. Very friendly staff. Will be coming back to try the other coolers!”

  “Coffee Culture held my baby shower this past Sunday (organised by my sisters) and it was perfect. The service was fantastic, very warm and welcoming, and the food was superb. My sister has advised they were very good at communicating, also. Lovely venue, great staff and service, and fantastic food and drink. I would definitely recommend 👌”

  “Our first coffees and hot chocolate were not hot enough. The owner overheard our comments and immediately offered us replacements. The coffee was excellent and I was very impressed by the commitment to ensure the best possible customer experience. Highly recommended.”

  “great atmosphere but quite busy and could have been a tad difficult to sit a group larger than a small family. we didnt stay to eat, but got takeaway panini and a matcha tea. absolutely great food and good value for money. matcha was nice too. organic syrups. would return in furture”

  “Very pleasant stop on the uphill climb. English breakfast tea £3.50, 150 THB, 80s music as a backdrop - Fat Larry's Band, Zoom my highlight!! Extra point for the small Ramones poster.”

  “Had coffee ☕️ & cake (deal) the carrot cake is absolutely delicious!!!!! Top quality & moist too! Along with a cappuccino. They are dog friendly too. The staff are friendly & provide a great service. Highly recommend!”
