  “It was the first breakfast I’d eaten at Morrison’s in a long time and I was half expecting the food to be sub standard. However, this was disgusting. Hash browns were mushy and overcooked. Scrambled egg hugely overcooked. Mushrooms were reheated in microwave (as were the beans). Bacon was meh and the sausages were overcooked and soggy. Really disappointed to have spent £9 on this”

  “Poor service and worst breakfast I ever had. When I wrote back to customers service they asked for photo and when I send them back they keep saying that never responded to the email ans closed my case. I responded 3 times. Dont ever go there till someone actually look at the hygiene level and quality of food!”

  “Food selection is limited but what what there is, is always excellent and really well priced. Staff are friendly and helpful, no the cafe is always clean and tidy and the prices are great too. We always nip on for a coffee when shopping and are never disappointed.”

  “When I turned up there was a message that only full breakfast were available. I was pleased because that's what I fancied. However I was told the kitchen did not have any avacado. I said no problem, I will have something else to replace it. I suggested a slice of toast or extra beans or a hash brown. They told me I would have to pay for the item they did not have in stock and that NO alterations were allowed. This complaint is aimed directly at the management, whom will happily charge for food that isn't available and NOT the staff who served me as they were kind and understood the issue. The food that turned up wasn't bad. It's just a shame their manager/ policies are.”

  “Hadn’t been in here for a very very long time. How downhill it has gone. Unsavoury comes to mind. Had a job to find a clean table. Even the ones that had been cleared had not been wiped. Drinks awful. Whole area dirty. Utensil container dirty. Small cooked breakfast edible. Service at till sooo slow. Luckily it was not busy when we went in but then, considering the state of the place, not surprised. The Management should take note of all the bad reviews and get the place cleaned up. If at front of house is unsavoury, hate to think what the back is like.”

  “Absolutely delicious breakfast and piping hot. Very reasonable price too Visited again today as this is by far, usually, my favourite Morrisons cafe. However not a good visit. Ordered at checkout as touchscreen wasnt working. No black pudding available. Coffee machine wasnt working so free instant coffee. However, the cup I got had lipstick on it. Breakfasts came and our mushrooms and bacon were cold. The lady across from us sent her fish and chips back because the chips and peas were stone cold. Very disappointed especially as I had told my friend, who was with me how wonderful it usually was.”

  “The worst jacket potato ever. Burnt completely on the inside. Probably left on the burner all day? See photos. Like vomit on a plate. Never again. No staff to be seen to complain or exchange. Had to eat with a spoon as it was the only cutlery available. Dreadful, avoid if you can!”

  “I have never been more appalled in my life than the day I walked into Morrisons cafe. A proper sit down meal I thought. Nice and warm for the old people I thought. It was freezing and filthy and there was hardly any food left. I would like to take a moment to say that the tall black waiter - Melvin. Was excellent. He gave me my money back and was obviously used to this. You can see the state of the tables and would you believe a lady came around with a sweeping brush? It was disgraceful. The coffee boy was ok and it wasn’t his fault but this should NOT be allowed to happen The wait for the food was longer than I’ve ever had and it was freezing. I am very very disappointed. I have to speak out on behalf of Melvin but can’t give better stars for service because of the state of the tables. As I left there was more untouched food. Avoid this place like the plague”

  “9 Mar 23:. I broke my promise and had an all. Day breakfast. Still Auto ordering, but the software is much more user friendly. Food was well cooked, presented nicely and served by really friendly staff. So I've upgraded to 3⭐, would have been 4 if it was not for the new QR code ordering system. If your going to use IT make it user friendly, use the code to take me to the actual site location and not make me sign up to the Morrison group. Who do you employ in your IT dept? That really ant the best. 1 Star review: 7 Mar 22. 3 years since my last visit and I've dropped it a star. The ordering system had gone from bad to worse. Now you have to order by touch screen at the entrance. But before you can pay you must identify your table. Errr, I'm by myself and can't reserve a table and order. It is also a very difficult system for the old and disabled to use, it's boadering on discrimination. Oh the scamp and chips was very poor for quality and price. I CAN HONESTLY SAY I HAVE NEVER EVER EVER BEEN IN A WORSE MANAGED RESTAURANT.......Never again. What FOOL put those electronic order machines in? Not nearly as intuitive as the McDonald system, which I'm assuming they are trying to emulate. During our meal I must have seen 8+ couples give up and walk away, young as well as old. Food up to Morrisons normal standard. Update, my inlaws went to the Retford Morrison cafe which has the same electronic order system. They are in their mid 70s and just gave up, however as the Reftord store has kept its menu boards they were able to order in the traditional manner. Morrisons: Please understand that technology is only useful it enhances the customer experience and improves business performance, with the aim of improving cashflow and market share. Your system will do neither if people just walk away.”

  “We chose Morrisons cafe for our Sunday breakfast this week and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The food was excellent, both vegetarian and meat choices, and the smiling lady who brought it to our table was lovely and very helpful. The table is a good height for wheelchairs. One of the photos makes it look like it was empty, it was actually quite busy but not over crowded. The only thing I didn’t like was a high pitched alarm sound, emanating from the kitchen and frequent enough to become annoying. If you’re triggered by sounds you might be wary. They could probably mask it with a bit of music or take your headphones. I liked that we were able to order and pay via a screen as we entered rather than queue and do it at the till. The supermarket disabled toilet is nearby and easily accessible. It was clean and tidy and the cord was dangling just where it should be.”
