Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often return to value for money, with cheap pints and solid pub grub at a waterfront spot beside the Brayford. Diners name the spicy Korean chicken bowl, fish and chips described as well cooked, and a set of small plates of pizza, loaded fries and chicken strips shared between two. A few like ordering through the app or the table QR code, and note plenty of seating inside, with a small outdoor area that gets busy on sunny days. Service divides opinion. Some call staff friendly and quick, while others find bar staff efficient but "frosty", or disengaged and overwhelmed. One family on a very busy visit reports dry, clearly microwaved food. One reviewer reports a waiter removing their group's alcohol free drinks, asking for ID and looking under the table for a dog. Another mentions an old sputtering coffee machine and dim lighting. One diner recalls the small plates arriving hot and fresh, very quickly after scanning the table code.

“The Sail I’ve been to more Wetherspoons than I can count up and down the country, so I like to think I know a good one when I see it—and The Sail in Lincoln is definitely up there. Like any proper Spoons, I judge it on one thing above all else: value for money. And this place absolutely delivers. Cheap pints, solid pub grub, and no nonsense. You know exactly what you’re getting, and it does it well. The location by the Brayford is a big bonus—nice views, plenty of space, and a good atmosphere whether you’re popping in for a quick drink or settling in for a few. Service is quick, and everything runs like you’d expect from a well-managed Spoons. Having been to loads of them, I can say this is one of the better ones. It sticks to the formula, doesn’t try to be anything it’s not, and gives you exactly what you want: reliable food and drink at a price that still feels like a bargain. A top-tier Spoons in my book. 🍺”

“Great location on the harbour, plenty of seating, ordered their 3 small plates for £14.99. 8" pizza, loaded fries and chicken strips. Used the qr code on the table, food was delivered very quickly and was hot and fresh. Great value for 2 to share. Bar staff were efficient if a little "frosty".”
