About The Anchor
The Anchor is a Craft Union pub at 133 High St in Lincoln, with pool and darts on site. Big screens show sports channels, including football. Carling and John Smiths are on the pumps, and table service means the team brings drinks to the seats. Bar snacks are available for anyone wanting something to eat alongside a pint. Smokers have an area at the back with heat lamps, so they can step outside without going without warmth. Dogs are welcome.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often come for live sport on the big screens, with football on match day singled out and plenty of seating to watch from. Beer at reasonable prices comes close behind, with Carling and John Smiths on offer, cheap deals on drinks and shots, and a good selection overall. Friendly staff, a brilliant landlady and spot-on table service recur, along with a great atmosphere and a local crowd one reviewer calls salt of the earth. Pool and darts get a mention, and one visitor describes the pub as newly refurbished and packed out on a Saturday afternoon. Food is the main gap. Several did not try it, one could see no sign of food being served, and another noted only the usual bar snacks. One found the music a bit loud, and another saw home fans only signs on match day but was let in anyway. The outdoor smoking and drinking area is described as clean and tidy, with heat lamps for cold days.

“Brilliant service, great atmosphere, and friendly!cheap deals on drinks and shots of various kinds. Pool and darts for those who like a cheeky game or two! But most of all views all the latest sports games, can't comment on hot food as eaten before going but usual bar snacks were available. Also just to mention it was great to see other locals from another pub 😅”

“As i was dabbling into a few pints of sweet nectar off my lips on a cold monday afternoon, a man of a savoury nature came in looking for a scrap. As I looked up from my pint I saw that the man had a dead hairline and was wearing skinny jeans so I laughed and focused back on my lovely pint. Next thing I know I see the same man get absolutely sparked clean out by someones nan with a flush left hook to the jaw, apparently she was an ex-regional champion. It turns out the man was trying to order a coors light, something that is a war crime. Overall an entertaining day at an entertaining pub, I would return when I am back in town.”
