About Golden Eagle
Golden Eagle is a pub in Lincoln at 21 High St, set in an 18th-century coaching inn. Up to nine cask beers are on, with real ales from independent, local and regional breweries. The terraced beer garden has heated booths and a smaller outdoor bar, and an outside barbecue serves hotdogs and burgers. Food inside is limited to crisps and nuts. The pub is close to Sincil Bank, the Lincoln City FC ground, and welcomes home and away fans on match days, when the barbecue adds burgers and bacon butties. Dogs are welcome too. Quiz and bingo nights fill the calendar, with live music on some nights, and the pub also runs regular beer festivals.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the beer, especially a choice of local and regional real ales from independent breweries, poured well and served in a relaxed, comfortable setting. Close behind is the big beer garden, where several describe lots of tables, heated booths and a smaller outdoor bar, plus a barbecue with hotdogs and burgers on one visit. Staff come up repeatedly as friendly and welcoming, and one regular says the bar made them feel at home from the first visit, adding that they enjoy the quiz and bingo nights. Several mention match days near the Lincoln City ground, with home and away fans welcome and bacon butties or burgers on offer. Live music on some nights gets a mention. The one caveat is food: a reviewer notes only crisps and nuts to eat, while others mention burgers and butties. One adds that booths may need booking on hot days. A visitor describes the walk south from the centre as giving an "earned it" feeling when ordering a pint.

“Excellent pub close-ish to Sincil Bank (Lincoln City FC) with very good selection of local & regional real ales. Extensive outdoor drinking area (many tables). Bacon butties on the matchday we visited. Home & away fans welcome, something to cherish.”

“Having moved to the High Street end of town a few months ago I went into the Eagle for the first time in January. I was immediately greeted by the lovely Emily who was serving on the bar and met some really nice customers. Some places make you feel uncomfortable when you first walk in but the Eagle was the complete opposite. I now regularly go to the Eagle. Dawn and Tyla are also lovely and always make me feel welcome. Made some really nice friends and its great to be part of the community. Love the quiz and bingo night too!!! ❤️”
