On Bird St in Lichfield, Poms Lichfield is a brunch restaurant that also runs as a deli, selling local produce alongside its kitchen. The main menu covers avocado on sourdough and an English breakfast, with a dirty chai among the drinks. Customer Review Summary
The caveats are about execution and cost. One diner found the hollandaise and eggs cold, the salmon mushy, and the gluten free bread plain untoasted white slices. Another received a tomato sauce pot with blue roll inside, a strong latte despite asking for one shot, and an unsteady table, and found a dry layer on the sauce pots. A reviewer who thought it not cheap would not call it good value, and another queried whether the 10% service charge goes to staff. Still, a husband's dish was called really nice, and a server's offer to fetch the replacement sauce was noted even though it never arrived.

“Went here on wednesday! Food was absolutely extrodinary, drinks were lush and the service was even better! We had a lovely lady serve us. We didn’t catch her name but she spoke about harry styles to us and was just genuinely so lovely and made the experience so much better. Definitely boosted the day after the awful heat! I don’t come down here often and it was my first time at Poms but the way I was treated I felt like a customer who went there everyday! x”

“We ordered 2 lattes, a sausage & egg muffin, hash browns and a banana bread. Unfortunately I didn’t enjoy my order. I asked for 1 shot in my latte and it still tasted very strong so I had to swap with my partner, the table was quite unsteady too so they ended up spilling onto the saucers. The banana bread was satisfactory.. I didn't like the pieces of banana on top as they was quite hard and there was bit too much compote. My partner asked for some brown sauce but we was given tomato (easy mistake) however there was blue roll inside it, I took it back to let the lady on the bar know and she offered to bring some over to the table. We received our food as one of the waitresses didn’t want it sitting on the side before we got our drinks (which we really appreciated) After a short while we still didn’t get the sauce so I got it myself as I noticed they was a bit busy. A side note, the sauce had been decanted into pots I assume to help with busy service however, they all had a dry layer on top which was a bit off putting as it looked like they had been sitting there for a while. All these minor mishaps did put a downer on our experience, but besides that it was pleasant. All the staff were very kind and accommodating and handled the cafe being busy fantastically, so well done! For £34.65 and all the mistakes I don’t think we’ll be returning again.”

“Had a fantastic brunch here. Staff were helpful and attentive. The food was delicious and quick. We had a vegetarian and vegan who were very well catered for too. Lots of options for food with separate vegan and gluten free menu. Very well decorated and cosy atmosphere. Doesn't feel too crowded or loud. Will definitely be coming back.”
