  “In April we took our son to ‘The Axe And Square’ for his birthday meal and it was just not that good, I think the team there should visit The Bull in Broughton Astley to get a better idea of how things are done! They are both part of ‘The Roseacre Pub Company’ so really ideally should be on the same page. Today I took my boys to The Bull and even though it’s a super-melty-hot day the team kept their cool; one lady who was discussing puddings with my youngest boy, absolutely delighted him with what she was saying (I didn’t get her name, I would’ve given her a shout out) but not to take away from the rest of the team who were friendly and professional. We had cokes and burgers, ‘black & blue’, ‘millionaire’ and ‘rodeo’, we were all happy. We had a side of onion rings, they were big ‘n’ crispy and the boys had puddings. All was good. For people with younger kids there’s two bouncy ‘castles’ outside, plenty of lunchtime parking space, lovely decor within, we were sat at an open window with a view onto the little stream outside. Only downer is I would have liked some alcohol but was driving. I’d recommend and would return.”

  “Or first proper night out together in about 18 years, and what a great choice we made! My partner had the seafood linguine and kinder cookie and I the butchers mixed grill with sticky toffee pudding for dessert. Staff were so friendly and attentive. We've booked Sunday lunch for the end of the month (with the kids) 😊”

  “The foods good quality and flavour but floored by quantity without sauce, as described on the menu. Also garden peas with Salmon was missing? For the price charged there's an element missing and not very hot. Asking for the bill took longer than it should . The food is good but for the cost I've had better”

  “Visited for Valentines tonight. Met by friendly staff who shown us to the table which was decorated in petals and a heart balloon which was a lovely touch. Restaurant was full and the meal was superb, served hot, tasty and plenty of it. …”
