  “Staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was fantastic I think maybe they've squeezed a few too many tables in making it difficult to get out of my seat as I was pushed up against a step. I could see it would be a problem getting between the tables if the pub was full.”

  “Had the 2 meals for £11. Burger ok. But what can I say about the fish. WHAT FISH? Was about 2 ins long. Didn't even have mushy peas. Won't be visiting again.”

  “Fantastic Pub. I had the chilli with chips which was awesome. The wife had the 10oz Rump medium rare. Although the steak came out more medium, Kez the Kitchen manager took it straight back and did another one. It was perfect. Kez gave my wife a free glass of wine & onion rings as an apology. Excellent customer service. We then had the Bakewell cheese cake which was fantastic. Highly recommended.”

  “I’ve been here a few times and today was no exception. Order a 8oz bistro , cooked rare and it came fast and was beautifully cooked. Complements to the chef. Staff was wellcoming and place was full (but not too full ) at 8 oclock on a Saturday. Ordered a mintnight rider for dessert and never again. It was huge!!! I will stick to a standard size sundaes next time. Great value for money and great quality. Will continue visiting .”

  “Called in yesterday for lunch, and whenever I’ve been here it hasn’t disappointed. There is an extensive lunch menu which is really well priced- and every time I’ve eaten I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the meal. Hearty portions, speedy service, there isn’t anything to dislike. Drinks are also a really reasonable price. 10/10”

  “We had the most delicious steak this evening. The steak was to perfection upon my request, the chips were amazing. I absolutely recommend "The Man at Arms" not only for the food but for the service & the fairly priced beer. I can't wait to return for more of the same. Thank you "Man at Arms".”

  “Four of us went for a meal tonight,we were lead to our table and the dining area reminded me of a school dining hall. We all ordered different things to eat, three meals came out together and we had to wait for the fourth. We’d looked at the menu beforehand and two of us decided on the fish pie, however we were informed that they hadn’t got any. After our meal we went to order four coffees but were told that they couldn’t do coffee as the machine had been cleaned-it was 21:15. Overall a very disappointing visit and we won’t be visiting again.”

  “We always enjoy ourselves when we come here. The food is always hot and fresh and the service is very good. Bradley has worked there for quite a few years now and is always friendly, polite and professional. Highly recommended this place.”

  “Steak melted in the mouth, very tasty. Fast service Friendly staff. The only let down as we had to hurry was that we were enjoying ourselves until a large group of traveller kids came in running in and out,quite off putting.”

  “The lamb was good, a few chip that been re frying couple of times it’s dry and dark. The mighty man steaks grills was ok. Overall the meal are slightly above average.”
