About The Blue Bell
The Blue Bell is a pub on Long St in Leicester, part of the Everards group, so the real ale on tap comes from that brewery. Live bands play inside and sometimes outside, and dogs are welcome. Tearooms within the pub serve breakfast, with Spanish hash and eggs Benni on the menu. The food menu also lists small plates and starters. The bar pours craft ales, lagers, wines, spirits and soft drinks, and the pub has been refurbished. An Italian night is held as a themed evening and can be fully booked. The pub also hosts private events, including wakes with a buffet, and runs fundraising events.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the atmosphere and live bands at this dog friendly pub with a good village feeling, and friendly staff and owners come up repeatedly. Food follows close behind. One reviewer had a Spanish hash at breakfast in the tearooms and said the poached eggs and eggs Benni looked just as good, while another arrived on Italian night and called the food incredible. A buffet laid on for a wake earned praise, and a nice glass of Pinot suited a Saturday drink after the refurbishment. Pub grub for a casual meal was called good. One reviewer suggests booking if going for food, since Italian night was fully booked. On the downside, a reviewer notes the only real beer on tap is from Everard's and would like to see a guest ale. At another table, the starters went down well and the small plates were described as plenty, but three of the four diners found the vegetables not cooked enough, and the reviewer plans to ask for them cooked longer next time.

“Had a beautiful breakfast here after a recommendation for the tearooms within the pub. The seating area outside is gorgeous and very well kept. It was like being abroad having our brekkie. Only took a piicture of my spanish hash but the poached eggs and eggs Benni looked amazing too. Food was defo an 11/10. Staff were very friendly and efficient and service was quick. Would definitely try again when in the area”
