“What an amazing country pub! We had been shooting locally and booked a table for 9. We arrived an hour early, but greeted with a friendly smile, we settled into the garden with our drinks. Nothing was too much for John and his team. The service was friendly, professional and made for a really enjoyable visit. Now the food...what can we say other than it was exceptional. Most had the pie which came with a nice thick crust and plenty of meat. Lovely cooked, fresh vegetables accompanied the food. We had to try the desserts which didn't let us down! We visited on a Saturday and it was 2 courses for £20, which was tremendous value. Highly recommend this great country pub!”

“Lovely atmosphere in this old inn Food was very good, plenty of it I had the most amazing g chicken . The 3 who had the break pie were so dull after quite a large serving reasonably priced and desserts were so yummy !! Will definitely recommend Lovely friendly staff very attentive . We were a group of 9 from a lunch club.”

“Its our first time in Royal oak, the food was fantastic, you can tell that the food was freshly cook, and the portion was massive. I rate the the food and experience 9.5, my wife 10/10, and my daughter 8.5, the staff we're very welcoming and accomodating. Definitely coming back.”

“Really nice local pub with good quality pub food and affordable prices. The drink selection was limited though on the day we came, so not ideal, but the staff were super friendly and attentive. The place is dog friendly as well”
