  “Really disappointing experience at Jenny Wren Pub. The food was poor quality and seriously overpriced. The beef pie was only warmish, with barely warm gravy and not even a small salad on the side. The kebab was basically two pieces of meat with naan bread, which was shocking for the price. The fish was just plain white fish for £15 and seemed to have been cooked in old oil, leaving a very heavy feeling afterwards. Overall, very poor food and definitely not worth the money. Never again.”

  “Myself, my partner and our 6 year old went to the Jenny Wren as a last minute decision to have dinner. We had never been before, but it hugely exceeded our expectations! The staff were very kind and helpful, the food was very good and they were offering 40% off mains!”

  “Atmosphere in the pub garden out the front was good. The barmaid i spoke to seemed friendly. My food order did seem to take a bit longer than expected, but i do appreciate it was busy. The hunters chicken bagette was delicious! I'll be back to try other items on the menu soon!”

  “The Jenny wren has a great atmosphere it’s perfect to go to with friends and family for any occasion! The food is amazing I recommend the hunters chicken and the pizzas they’re my favourite. The service at the Jenny wren is brilliant everyones so kind and the drinks and food are prepared quickly I 100% recommend the Jenny wren and will definitely be going back there soon!”

  “What a fall from grace! We’ve had so many top quality experiences at Jenny Wren. So many tables of 10+ served hot and timely and well served. Imagine my disappointment when this time we were confronted with: A cluttered bar and restaurant full of dirty glasses and plates. Tepid food that had drastically changed in quality. The breaded mushrooms and onion rings tasted like Iceland value range, a far cry from the rustic beer battered of old. The onion rings were also almost completely without onion and just a ring of greasy batter. The chicken wings, along with other dishes were served in tatty, chipped tin-ware and without garnish. Despite being labelled ghost chilli and honey, they tasted like neither and had no heat. They did however taste suspiciously like cheap sweet chilli sauce. The mayonaise served with the mushrooms had sat out so long that it had formed a yellow skin over the top of it. The garlic bread with the mac n cheese was again a cheap party food special. For £42 worth of starters and sides we shared, we could have had a miller and carter 2 course lunch and got a nice clean restaurant and decent food and service. A sad end to what had been a run of lovely experiences. Thats at least 30 covers a year you’ve lost.”

  “I came in Sunday 22nd around 7 ish with friends and the pub was heaving but we were seated very quickly and ordered quickly enough our starters came out 10 mins later but our main meals took nearly an hour to come out. Food wasnt great either to be honest, cold and small portions Staff seemed stressed but atmosphere and drinks were good Take it or leave it I suppose”

  “We were seated at our table really quickly, our order didn't take long either after we had placed it via the App. The food arrived lovely and hot. We all truly enjoyed our meal. The staff were extremely polite and very accommodating which is truly helpful considering I'm in a wheelchair so there were no complaints about not being wheelchair friendly. If there was only one critique, that would be with the ability to edit/remove certain foods from meal ordered due to people with allergies. But other than that, we all had a great time there and would like to thank and complement the staff of doing a great job with our order and making our time there truly enjoyable.”

  “Came in to the jenny wren. Feels like a remote county pub but is in the town. (Easy to walk to!) Food is delicious, service friendly. Would have been a 5 star review, but our empty were not collected from the table for ages. Please note this is a standard uk pub, so seat yourself, order on the app and enjoy - this is what we did for our first visit. Prices may be a little steep but the quality backs the prices up!”
