  “The food was very nicely cooked & presented. The portions were large, but they do a smaller plate option. The service was a bit slow, but it was busy. The waiting staff were very friendly”

  “They were really busy because it’s Father’s Day and we didn’t book, luckily we turned up at 12 and they managed to fit us in which was great!! They sold the cider 🍺 I like too thatchers. The lamb and the pie 🥧 we had was very yummy! We will 100% go back!! Also dog 🐶 friendly, there are bowls of water out and the bar maid gave our pups a doggy treat which was very nice thank you!”

  “I’ve probably been to The Red Lion in Milstead about ten times now, and every visit has been an absolute pleasure. The food is always delicious, the service warm and attentive, and the pub itself has such a lovely, welcoming feel. It’s set in a beautiful part of the countryside too - perfect for enjoying the garden on a sunny day or settling in by the fire on a cosy winter evening. Great value as well. I just want to say a big thank you to everyone there for consistently making it such an enjoyable experience. It’s a proper gem of a place, and I’d happily recommend it to anyone looking for great food, great service, and a great atmosphere.”

  “Thank You Red Lion 🙏🏼 Excellent & welcoming staff, cosy pub with a fireplace which gives you that extra homely feel. It's a dog friendly place also, so our pup had his best sleep in front of the fireplace. Drinks are a great price,and food portions are generous. My friend and I got stuck in a 5 hours of traffic at the dark country roads of Kent, so this place has saved us with their lovely local people & warm atmosphere. Thanks again. B”

  “The Germantown Cricket Club (Philadelphia) and the Band of Brothers played a cricket game nearby. We met at Red Lion during tea break and after the game. The atmosphere was very nice. The food was great and the service was excellent.”

  “I booked a table at this fine establishment having enjoyed the hospitality there before. Our group of 11 were celebrating my father's 98th birthday and no-one left feeling disappointed...or hungry! Great food, well kept ale and lovely staff. Perfect.”
