Quick info
About The Billet
On London Rd in Sittingbourne, The Billet is a Green King pub with several TVs in the bar area and one in the restaurant area, which show football on match nights. Dogs are welcome inside. The kitchen runs a deal of the day, with a build-your-own burger on Wednesdays and a Thursday offer that includes the chick n mix. Fish and chips is on the menu alongside roast dinners. The drinks list includes a pink gin spritz and pitchers, and orders go through the bar or an app. A community board at the pub gives customers a place to post their own adverts.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often point to the food and the friendly staff, with weekday deals getting particular mention. A build your own burger on Wednesday and the chick n mix Thursday deal are both described as good value, and a pink gin spritz, fish and chips and an Easter Sunday turkey roast with lovely Yorkshire puddings are all praised. One bartender is credited with helpful recommendations from a wide range of drinks, and staff are called friendly and accommodating, changing unwanted burger items and handling a table of six without fuss. Match days draw the main complaints. One diner seated by the rear doors describes constant foot traffic, cold air and cheering from the restaurant TV drowning out conversation, while another says a pitcher arrived half empty and the outdoor screen had no sound for the build-up. A separate reviewer found a Christmas dinner turkey that tasted like processed meat, with soft, doughy Yorkshire pudding and microwaved-seeming dessert. One lunchtime visitor notes a slow drinks order on the app with a single person on the bar.

“Lovely experience with the family. They even let our 16 year old son put an advert on the community board for his book, Holiday Adventures: 16 poems by William Parsons. The fish and chips were delicious.”

“Nice Green King pub with good lunchtime atmosphere. Quite busy with midweek silver diners, like us! Slow to respond to our drinks order on the app, accepting that the single bar staff was busy. Green King menues vary from place to place & this venu had some intetesting choices! Note the new IPA glasses! PS if you use the car park don't forget to enter your reg at the bar!”

“Such a nice place to come for a pint! We spent a little time at the bar, and were served by their lovely bartender Amy. She gave excellent recommendations, which were very gratefully received, as they have quite a range of options! All in all, a lovely atmosphere, and lovelier staff.”

“Ordered a pitcher and came half full/half empty, that's including with the ice and didn't even fill two pints. Went there to watch the England game outside but there was no sound for the build up but they turned it on 2 minutes into the game however it was quiet and poor. At halftime manage to get some seats inside after some people left so was better watching the game and the atmosphere was a lot better too”
