About Tasty
Tasty is a café, bar and ice cream shop on Hull Marina, at 5 Humber Pl in Hull. The menu runs to 54 dishes, led by a full English breakfast and backed by coffee and tea. Ice cream comes as scoop gelato and Mr Whippy, including a Flake 99 Mr Whippy, so the counter covers both a morning meal and a dessert stop. Beer is served as well, which gives the place a bar side alongside the café. Dogs are welcome, so visitors walking the waterfront can bring a pet along. A window looks out over the water. The doors are open daily, and the toilets are upstairs.

Customer Review Summary
Complaints are specific. One reviewer found the fries dry, hollow and overcooked, too hard to snap. Another describes sloppy, undercooked breakfast food and calls it expensive, including a bacon sandwich and a soft drink. That reviewer also reports worn, refilled sauce bottles with no use-by dates and says they plan to report it to food hygiene. A separate reviewer says a server at the ice cream counter was rude and impatient, and felt they were treated differently from other customers, though they found the ice cream decent.

“If you’re feeding the local pigeons, these fries are perfect. For actual customers? Not so much. Dry, hollow, and massively overcooked—I couldn’t even snap one in half. Definitely not what I’d expect from freshly made fries.”

“Red and brown sauce is the cheap stuff. I think it's called spice, but it's hidden in the HP and Heinz bottles. Also, they rub the dates off the bottles, and there's no use-by date on the bottles. That is a food safety concern, and I will be reporting it to food hygiene. Also if you looks a the bottle you can tell the bottle have been used a re fill with cheaper stuff for years look at how worn the lables are andold the bottle looks how discusting is that Also very expensive £13 -15 breakfast £7.50 for a bacon sandwitch kids means £5.50 and £2.70 for coke robbing people blind and the food is just sloppy uncooked food made look good on plate but horrible to eat”

“Excellent price quality breakfast, impeccable service and very devoted staff”

“I went to buy an icecream and was served by the most rudest girl, she seemed outright racist, she was so nice to the couple right before us and the group right after us but she seemed liked she could not be bothered to serve us and was very impatient and rude in the way she spoke to us. Apart from that the ice-cream was decent.”
