Customer Review Summary
Diners single out the breakfast as the standout, with repeated praise for the eggs benedict and the Church Street Breakfast Plate, calling the food fresh, tasty, and perfectly cooked. Several also highlight the coffee, describing it as great or barista-quality. Service is frequently noted as friendly, welcoming, and excellent, with many mentioning a clean, nice space. Close behind, reviewers appreciate the varied specials and good menu choice. A recurring caveat is table pressure: multiple groups report being rushed or asked to leave after an hour, even after ordering a second round, with one noting a £72 bill and deciding not to return. Several suggest booking ahead for busy periods.

“Beautiful cafe, amazing food. Very good prices. Great service.”

“A hidden gem of Hull. The café is not large so I would recommend booking. You must call or contact them on Social Media if you want to book. The prices are on the higher side for Hull but for the consistent quality, it is worth it. The menu is somewhat small but they vary the specials often. Would highly recommend.”

“This is the second visit in a row where we were asked to leave after just an hour. Today, we ordered a second round of drinks right after finishing breakfast, only to be told moments later that we had five minutes left, despite our drinks …”

How this listing is sourced
- Where the data comes from
- Name, address, hours, contact details, amenities, ratings and review counts come from the business's publicly available profile data — not from the owner and not from paid submissions.
- How it stays current
- Every listing is re-checked on a recurring crawl, and anything reported as wrong is corrected at the source rather than patched on the page.
- How it is ranked
- Placement is never sold. Every business on the page is ordered and compared using the same public signals, so an owner cannot pay to move up.
