“Absolutely amazing Sunday roast! Everything was so fresh and served on hot plates. For three of us it was around £60 which was a bargain considering how much food we had! Amazing staff sang happy birthday to my other half. So accommodating. Will definitely visit again!”

“We had a lovely Sunday roast here! I had the lamb. Friends had the chicken, and the nut roast, there is an option for a vegan yorkie! Drinks were reasonable and the wine list was pretty well thought out, nice choices and good prices. Service was amazing, quick and friendly, despite the limited space between seats I think they did a fantastic job and the crowd was pleasant.”

“What a fantastic find. Me and the Mrs had stopped going for Sunday lunch because what we where being offered in other places was quite frankly disappointing. Not the Bottoms Rest. (Great name by the way) Not just proper portions (loads) but the quality was brilliant. Not for these ladies the luke warm boiled broccoli cabbage carrots in a shared dish that wouldn't feed 1. Each plate had roasted carrots, roast potatoes (plenty) turnip, real green cabbage (not the white limp stuff) broccoli (aldenti) I had the lamb and the Mrs the pork. Proper home cooked big Yorkshire puddings. All this served on thick onion gravy with real onions and loads of it. Oh and its not even that expensive. Granted for us up in Northumberland its a bit more than we pay but Daan saffe you won't get a burger for this price. There was 14 of us and we took the place over but nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Its rare to find little gems like this place. Thank you 😊”

“Fantastic Sunday lunch. Visiting from Northumberland for a family birthday and ending the weekend with a roast. A lovely meal. Tasty well cooked veg, lean pork with crispy crackling, yorkies, toasties and lashings of gravy. Generous portions and no room for pudding (dessert!) Hubby had lamb which was also delicious.”
