Customer Review Summary
Reviewers return mainly for the carvery, praising the turkey as buttery and the beef as succulent, with roast potatoes and veg that stayed soft even on a Monday evening. Close behind are the oversized cakes, described as gigantic and generous, with one diner taking a slice home and another needing doggie bags for the large plates. The breakfast is called reasonable, and the play area gets credit for letting children burn off energy. Staff draw repeated warm mentions, including a host who chatted about the history of the place and a server who handed a child a goody bag. The one detailed complaint comes from a diner with a milk allergy who asked for a vegan bun and received a rubbery gluten free roll, then a baked potato instead of chips. The same reviewer found the pie only okay, the peas stale, and the server reluctant to answer questions. Elsewhere, a booking mix-up over breakfast ended with refunded deposits and the chef cooking everyone a meal.

“The perfect place to bring the family for a Sunday lunch. Carvery was delicious with the meats cooked perfectly - turkey buttery and the beef succulent. Irene was our server and was so attentive! She even gave my child a little goody bag which was ever so sweet. We sat by the play area which was great to let the children let off some steam without being too chaotic. Would recommend.”

“My dad had recommended this place to go for birthday meal, ive never been and i honestly have no complaints, other than a slight problem with the cake slice i had ordered but this was very swiftly taken care of and the staff were so lovely and the food was very good and the portion size (of the cake in this case) is very generous too will definitely visit again in the future 😊”
