  “Gill and the staff are absolutely amazing here. The service and food is out of the world and I couldn’t recommend a better place to eat/drink. The food is some of the best food I’ve had and such a wide range of choices. Me and my family choose to eat here all the time whenever going out for food because there isn’t a better place for quality and quantity and great prices,thank you so much”

  “Some places become so much more than just a pub, and the Whittington & Cat is exactly that. It’s a place where memories are made, friendships grow, and everyone is made to feel like family. We’ve celebrated so many of life’s special moments there, including my 40th birthday, my husband’s 60th birthday and even my graduation. Some of our happiest memories with family and friends have been made within those walls, and there’s nowhere else we’d rather celebrate. From the moment you walk through the door, Gill and her incredible team make you feel genuinely welcome. Nothing is ever too much trouble, everyone is greeted with a smile, and there’s such a warm, relaxed atmosphere that I’d happily pop in on my own knowing I’d always feel comfortable. It’s that rare kind of place where everyone belongs. The food is simply outstanding. Everything is homemade, cooked with love and consistently delicious. Their Sunday dinners are absolutely elite – the best around – and the homemade Chinese chicken curry is legendary and always my first choice! There’s a fantastic selection of food and drinks, all at very reasonable prices, making every visit exceptional value. The Whittington & Cat is located near the beautiful Hull Marina steeped in history and packed with charm and character, and if you’re staying over, the boutique rooms are absolutely beautiful and finished to a very high standard. In a time when so many pubs have lost their heart, the Whittington & Cat has everything a traditional British pub should have – warmth, laughter, kindness, outstanding food and wonderful people. I’m incredibly proud to have it on our doorstep, and I genuinely couldn’t recommend it more highly.   “Went for the Sunday roast as it was gluten free and it's amazing. I had the all roast meats roast and I got half a plate of roast meat and lots of broccoli, carrots, cabbage, peas, a Yorkshire pudding, mash and roast potatoes and gravy. It was all lovely, definitely recommend and will definitely go again.”

  “We had the most fabulous 3 night stay at The Whittington and Cat. Room was lovely and very clean. Great location and lots of nice bars around but Jill and staff was so lovely and customers so friendly we just drank and ate there every night as food was delicious. Highly recommended and we will definitely be back.”

  “The family went for Sunday lunch (6 adults 2 kids). Service was great, all the staff were attentive and so nice. Everyone really enjoyed the meals, and I felt we got really good value for money. We will certainly be going again. Parking in the retail park is 3hrs free. A bid thank-you to all the staff.”
