Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often come for the Sunday carvery, praising a choice of four meats, plenty of vegetables and delicious meaty gravy, with the food described as hot. Close behind is the friendly, accommodating staff: one server stayed attentive even when busy, a bar worker searched out bacon for a burger, and a manager checked in on a birthday party and the table's dietary needs. Others single out a pepperoni pizza with stretchy cheese, crispy chicken, and a southern fried chicken sandwich with cheesy beefy chips. The criticisms are specific. One reviewer found the carvery average, with overcooked or drying vegetables, and had trouble finding staff. Another says a plate was taken while a husband was still eating. A delivery order was described as overcooked and rock hard, with no refund obtained. One reviewer who had a coffee order organised by a server so nobody had to queue closes the pattern of attentive table service.

“Went for lunch today. Two of us had the carvery served by lovely cheerful Lynn. My husband wanted bacon on his burger and the person behind the bar searched to accommodate him. After lunch a member of staff came and asked if we had enjoyed it. Wonderful staff.”

“This was the first time we had been to the West Bulls for many years, we usually visit the Lambwath for a carvery. The staff were friendly enough when you could get hold of someone. Carvery average, most of the veg was over cooked or drying up as it had been there for sometime. The decor was good much better than the Lambwath. Good size car park which was mainly used by people picking kids up from the nearby school.”

“We had a lovely visit to The West Bulls. The food was delicious, the portions were generous, and everything was served fresh. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the relaxed atmosphere made it a great place to enjoy a meal. We'd definitely be happy to return.”

“Called into westbulls today with my son. Was met at the bar by little miss sunshine, who had absolutely flawless pint pouring technique, and the biggest smile I have ever seen. Mel added a real touch of professionalism and style pouring a perfect pint with zero spill. I happily queued up for a second just for the performance alone. Finlay escorted us to our table,he expertly navigated us around chairs , small children, and football fans like a seasoned tour guide. Delivered us safely to our seats without incident. This man deserves the congressional medal of honour. My son ordered a pepperoni pizza, made by Alex. My son said this pizza has given him an existential crisis. The cheese stretched further than my monthly budget, the crust had the perfect crunch to flop ratio. And the pepperoni was distributed with the precision of a space x launch. I ordered chicken dishes made by Tina toonie. The chicken was so good I briefly considered giving it a standing ovation. Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside and seasoned like someone's grandma was guarding the recipie with her life. This meal healed issues I didn't even know I had.”

“Sunday Carvery was lovely. Flavor some juicy, choice of 4 different meats. Plenty of vegetable selection and delicious meaty gravy. Highly recommend. My only negative is staff taking my plate literally as i put my knife and fork on it and my husband was still eating. It wasnt too busy so no need to rush the customer. Please just give the customer chance to finish their food enjoyably. 😊”
