About Tiffany's Cafe

Set inside the Buttermarket rather than on the main street in Hereford, Tiffany's Cafe is an independent cafe that draws people in off the covered market rather than the shopfronts outside. Breakfast anchors the menu, with Eggs Benedict served on a toasted muffin with ham, hollandaise and avocado, and Egg Royale as another egg option. Sandwiches and baps run alongside, from a tuna melt to a chicken salad bap, and the counter also turns out cakes and scones, including a coffee cake. Coffee, milkshakes and orange juice cover the drinks. No booking is taken, so customers arrive and order at the counter. A step-free entrance means visitors with mobility needs can get in without stairs, and high chairs make it workable for families with young children. Dogs are welcome. The cafe trades daytime hours from Monday to Saturday and stays closed on Sundays.

Customer Review Summary

Eggs Benedict draws the most detailed praise, with reviewers singling out eggs cooked firm but creamy, a properly toasted muffin, meaty ham, thick hollandaise and avocado dusted with chilli flakes, all of it described as immaculately presented. Close behind is the staff, repeatedly called friendly and smiley, with one party noting they were treated warmly as non regulars while watching regulars looked after. Other named orders include Egg Royal, a tuna melt, a chicken salad bap, a sausage sandwich, milkshakes and a scone that pleased children, and a coffee cake so large a couple barely finished it. Several describe the room as cosy, light and airy, tucked away in the Butter Market, and welcome it as a change from high street chains. One reviewer mentions cash only and suggests coming prepared, and another says an earlier visit some months back was not as good. Coffee arrives in preheated cups, one reviewer notes, keeping it hot longer.

“The food is great and quick, but what really makes this cafe stand out is the fantastic staff. We're not regulars, but were treated with warmth and friendliness and we witnessed so many examples of all of the staff taking care of regular customers. A little bit of kindness really can make your day.”

“Went mid morning on a weekday. Helpful efficient staff. Sausage sandwich was tasty. Orange juice delicious.”

“I Love it. It's not exactly 'artisan' food - more traditional cafe - but there is a wide range of dishes cooked well with a few nice surprises. A solid choice. Good coffee. Good location. Cash only so come prepared. Good value.”

“Lovely little cafe hidden in the butter market I did go a few months back but wasn’t as good ,I really enjoyed the music playing in the background.I order the eggs Benedict and it was very well presented the eggs were very creamy and firm and presented immaculately will definitely be going again and will definitely recommend to all of my friends ☺️”

“What an excellent experience, a lovely, light, cool and airy cafe, located in the Buttermarket. I had the eggs Benedict breakfast. Eggs Benedict is my favourite breakfast and I’m quite fussy with how it is prepared and presented. The breakfast was immaculate, the eggs were perfectly cooked, not solid but not running all over the plate either, the muffin was perfectly toasted and ham was meaty and flavourful. The Hollandaise was creamy, thick and tasty. It was served with avocado which was presented beautifully with a dusting of chilli flakes, absolutely exquisite. The entire meal was worthy of its price. The chef really knew what she was doing. Will definitely visit again”
