Customer Review Summary
Diners most often return for the friendly, family-run feel, with several describing staff who treat customers like family and accommodate tweaks and last-minute changes, including squeezing in an extra guest at a packed table. Food is called delicious and freshly made, with the aromatic duck pancakes, the house crispy noodles, the chicken chow mein and the spring onion ginger chicken singled out. Close behind are the attentive service and a warm evening out with friends or for a birthday. The complaints are fewer but specific. One takeaway customer found the chilli beef lid cut open, the portion small for the cost and the order arriving with fried rice instead of the beef fried noodles, though the beef itself was really good. Another arrived at 9:30 for a listed 10pm closing and was told the chef had gone early because it was quiet, with no apology.

“We had an amazing experience at China Red last night - the staff were beyond accommodating. We had an awkward start as I had booked for 4 people but forgot to call later on to request another person to add to our table as we had a last minute extra guest, and the team at China Red were super helpful in arranging the extra space for us (they were absolutely packed and didn't have enough room initially!) The food was also excellent! The aromatic duck pancakes, the china red crispy noodles, the chicken chow mein and the spring onion ginger chicken in particular were the stand outs for me! 10/10 would recommend and absolutely will go again.”
