Customer Review Summary
Salted egg yolk chicken wings are the dish diners name most, described as crispy outside with a rich, creamy coating. Reviewers repeatedly call the cooking authentic Cantonese. Close behind come the Cantonese pot dishes, tofu, sweet and sour chicken and fried rice, with the lemon tea also praised. Lunch visitors mention hot and sour soup with prawns and chicken, fried prawns, laksa and mixed meat crispy noodles. Portions are called generous, and the boss and staff are described as friendly. Several suggest booking in advance, and a couple mention off-menu dishes that need a pre-order. The complaints are pointed. One reviewer, a self-described loyal customer, reports being shouted at by staff and the chef after complaining that the ribs were tiny, then being refused ribs on a later order. Another found the takeaway Mapo Tofu tasty but too small for its price and felt it needs no beef. One lunch diner recalls a waitress who brought extra plates for sharing and topped up the tea pot with hot water.

“We had been meaning to try this restaurant since last August and finally managed to visit. The food was very good and offered excellent value for money, especially considering the quality of Chinese cuisine in the UK. Portions are generous, the setting is pleasant, and the staff are attentive and welcoming. It’s best to book a few days in advance, and you can also ask about any special dishes and arrange pre-orders. The salted egg yolk chicken wings were particularly impressive, and the lemon tea was very well done. A worthwhile visit and somewhere we would happily return to.”

“Disgraceful, rude + Unprofessional service. Actually still in shock seeing as I’ve spent thousands here & was a loyal customer. They serve MICRO ribs the size of your little finger (see pictures) and I complained and they screamed at me (chef included). Then they said I should order something other than the ribs. THEN when I insisted on my complaint they refused to serve me ribs again. Unbelievable.”

“We had dinner at this restaurant last week, and the experience was truly unforgettable. The Chinese food here is genuinely authentic—bold in flavor and clearly made with care and tradition. One dish that stood out immediately was the Salted Egg Yolk Chicken Wings. They were perfectly crispy on the outside, with a rich, creamy coating of salted egg yolk that added both a savory depth and a touch of sweetness.”

“Mapo Tofu was tasty, BUT £12 for one takeaway container is too much money. I expected it to be bigger for that price. Should be £8 just like the other main courses. I probably won't buy again, it's just too much. AND, it doesn't need the beef. This should be a wonderful vegetarian dish, keep it that way. But it was delicious. Compliments to the chef.”
