  “Disgusting attitude my partner called and first words were can I place cash delivery and her responds was ok and proceeds to take the order at end of call she just asked the name and said 15-20 min and while In realise we never gave the address so we call back and she says we don’t do delivery only collection and that we never asked about delivery we told her it was the first thing when the call was answered made out we were lairs and tried to argue and we still politely asked if the food was ready what was done and she just hangs up didn’t even have the decency to call to and say food is ready no costumer service just some rude girl”

  “First time at this take away. The reviews looked good so we thought we would try it. Very friendly over the phone to order. The place was very clean and the prices were very good indeed. The food was very tasty and we were impressed. We have now found our local after trying out many others. Thank you and see you soon. Billy”

  “I just moved to the area and am always looking for good food. obnoxious, horrible woman took my order, completely rude. I hadn’t even finished ordering and she put the phone down, then I had to call bk and she did it again. Needless to say I won’t ever call again.”

  “I couldn’t give 0 star so I have to give 1. The food gave me bad stomach issues and couldn’t stop going to the bathroom. I don’t think the food was freshly cooked there was a bad smell of something burnt and awful taste. When I phoned back the owner I was told I would receive a refund that never happened just lies. Don’t risk your health there is a better takeaway just literally round the corner (Red Bamboo) some of the nicest food I’ve eaten you won’t regret going there but you’ll definitely regret going to Peking Chef poor poor quality takeaway.Not a proper restaurant that has seating because they can’t serve that crap to your face I suppose. Never never going back there again. If your hungry go to red bamboo you’ll love it.”

  “I’ve just moved to the area and was on the hunt for my new go-to Chinese takeaway. Sadly, this one won’t be it. :( Let’s start with the price: for what you’re getting, it doesn’t feel good value. The portion sizes are on the smaller side, with dishes like Singapore noodles and salt & spice squid served in the standard small metal containers. Other places will give you larger portions for the same price, so this felt a bit like splashing out on a 5-star meal and getting a 2-star portion. They also have a “no freebies” policy which was a shocker. Even with a £50 order, I had to pay for my own prawn crackers. Taste-wise, it’s a mixed bag. The curry chicken was quite bland, lacking salt and curry flavour. The Singapore noodles were wetter than what I’ve had in other places, and we sadly found an unblended clump of curry powder. The vegetable spring rolls were pleasantly handmade and not the standard frozen packet ones, but they were mostly pastry with 2-3 veggie strands inside. On the bright side, the crispy shredded beef was actually tasty, so kudos for that. Overall, I hope this serves as constructive feedback rather than just criticism. I didn’t encounter the bad customer service others have mentioned, but unfortunately, the food just didn’t deliver. Here’s hoping they can improve because the crispy beef deserves some equally good company!””

  “I have previously said that this is the best Chinese take away around, we have been regular visitors over the last 4 years. Tonight we got our regular order, really looking forward to eating it. I opened the containers and the curry sauce looked very thick, but I know that can happen. So plated up and on the very first mouthful it tasted odd. My husband tried it and said the same, tasted soapy. Called the restaurant to report this and, the owner (not the lovely lady on the counter), basically said well it was made fresh, we did not question that, as it is usually always so good. No offer of bring it back, we will replace, no offer of, we will refund it, or get a meal on us next time. Very disappointing and both curry's we frequently order are in the bin. I frequently recommend this take away on forums and to friends and neighbours, well I'm sorry to say, I won't be recommending you again, if you can't offer a decent standard of customer service when an issue is reported.”
