“Brilliant bar with such a friendly atmosphere. From the very first time I walked in after moving to Hartlepool from Northampton, the staff made me feel genuinely welcome. It’s a great place to relax, and I’ve even made some lovely friends here. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a warm, welcoming local bar 👍”

“called in for a drink , double spirit with a coke mixer, the coke was awful, flat no body , mentioned this to the lady behind the bar , she said there was nothing wrong with it, i asked her to sample it, again she said it was fine , I asked a friend to try it , No it wasn't. If she had admitted it was not as it should be i could have accepted that.Instead i was told " you dont have to drink it" She was correct . if that is the accepted taste then its not for me. I asked a couple of regulars and was told . Oh don't ask for pepsi/coke in here it's terrible, well they can keep it. I would have gone again if it was a one off, but it was accepted as the norm. Ugh ..Went to Santonio,s ordered the same drink, how refreshing, cost a lot more but worth it .”

“Horrible coke. Guinness not the best. The big girl (bar staff) very rude. No customer service skills at all in the wrong job. Also you don't really want drinks off someone dressed in a hoodie that looked years old fit the whole family in.I live on the marina and I would definitely not use this bar again. Black olive isn't the best but little better drinks and cheaper. Shame really it used to be a good bar.”

“Great bar, was the only one that was open on a Tuesday evening so in we went! Great decision as the owner (JP) was a top bloke who allowed us to choose the music! The price of drinks was very reasonable so we stayed a while and we will be back tomorrow night! Only in the area for 2 nights so happy to find a great bar close to the Travellodge. Call in for a drink, you won't be disappointed.”
