  “Went there this evening and I had the Ultimate bbq platter which was delicious! My husband who is very, very fussy had the hunters chicken which he said was delicious also. The staff were attentive and friendly and the price wasn’t at all expensive! We also both had the ice cream for pudding. All in all very nice indeed! Professionalism at its best.”

  “First time visit to Moorhen been wanting to go for awhile. We was really excited on arrival the place looks lovely. But our visit was let down by the front of house team leader. In the booking we asked for cosy corner. We wasn't given no option. There was few tables with people still eating and the place was end of lunch so was fairly quiet. As the team leader told us to sit here I asked can we have a cosy corner, she dismissed this straight away and severed another table, leaving us standing there. She did not address who was serving us drinks or anything. We was instructed to take a seat but opted for a different one as people were leaving. The table needed cleaning and items taken away, which only came when we finally had to ask. and on asking got a rude response. Never in my days have we experienced this behaviour. We have been to thousands of restaurants and changed tables many times and never have we been so rudly spoken to. The tables been cleaned, staff very polite and happy to oblige. Was abit taken back as this clearly was not the norm for this team leader. We had our lunch another member of staff came out to ask if we would like anything else etc and was excellent through out as you would expect, so thank you Betty your service was excellent. Would we come again! not to be greeted by this particular team leader, sorry but you gave the wrong impression!”

  “Fantastic experience. Came for daughter’s birthday party in soft play. Fantastically run and well organised. Sue made everything perfect and ensured everything went perfectly. Everyone had a great time. Stayed in the restaurant for dinner afterwards which was great. Food was cooked well and really a step up from previous visits. Reece was fantastic as always, making sure everything was as we wanted. A real credit to the team and business. Very pleasant day all around, thank you!”

  “Had a lovely meal, great steak and veggie burger. Cooked well and really delicious. Special mention to our server Milos, he made sure everything was ok with us, from the table we were sat at, to our food being ok. Recommend a visit for a decent pub meal.”

  “Had an amazing meal today. We're put for my sister in laws 40th and had a table of 15 and our server Milos was flawless. His service, personality and product knowledge was brilliant. Nothing was too much trouble and he made our experience great. Everyone enjoyed the food and not a single issue throughout our meal. Had the Signature Burger and a few others the Beef Roast. The Eton Mess was fresh and as sweet as you'd like. Would recommend this place to people and will ve returning. Being based next to open water there are barges moored up and a great park in the beer garden. Something for everyone to enjoy.”

  “Such an amazing atmosphere. Food outstanding & the biggest Yorkshire pudding ive ever seen in my life. Apparently cooked from scratch on site. Reece who covered our table, was exceptional, going the extra mile, bringing a box for the gammon left as it was so huge. He was friendly, approachable and clearly enjoys his work. A credit to the organisation. We visited on a busy Sunday lunchtime, no faults, timely service and no hanging around to pay. Will definitely be back! One suggestion :-) Theres a lovely space at the bottom of the stairs that would accommodate at sofa. The perfect spot to sit & catch up on text messages without being the unsociable one in you party. Icing on the cake AAAA+++++”
