  “The staff are always friendly and welcoming, and the location is fantastic. Unfortunately, over our last few visits, we've come as a group and all of us have been disappointed with the food. The meals have been very oily, lacking in presentation, and just haven't been of the standard we remembered. It's a real shame because this place used to be excellent and was somewhere we genuinely looked forward to visiting. I hope the management takes the feedback on board, as the staff and location deserve food that matches the quality of the overall venue.”

  “Went for dinner tonight with my partner and daughter, we was served by i think was Harvey C that was the name on the bill receipt, He was wearing a Brazil football shirt. Ive got to say the food and service I think was the best we had ever received at a pub. He even took the time to interact with our little girl. The food and service was amazing, the steak and ale pie is definitely a favourite. Harvey c is a credit to the Jolly fisherman. Thank you for a wonderful meal. 🙏🏻”

  “Been there twice recently. It looks as if they changed the chef and bar staff. Food was pretty bad bland and over cooked cheap and poor quality, both times, the younger male staff came across as "I can't be bothered" The Manageress polite and busy. It's a shame as it used to be one of the better pubs in the area. not be going back.”

  “Just had a lovely meal at the Jolly fisherman tonight. The food was lovely and the service was outstanding. Big shout out to Andrea James and Erin and all the bar staff for making our trip special. Would definitely recommend a visit .in the sunshine you can also sit by the river .”

  “Fantastic view and food. I love it here and often stop for a drink as it's perfectly situated by the river. Today we tried the food and I really enjoyed my scampi and chips and they were very generous with the ammount of scampi. Service is great and I highly appreciate how fast they clear the tables as it tends to keep the wasps away.”

  “Overall a good experience but a few things could have made it better. We went specifically for pie week as they had advertised a great selection of pies. It was unfortunate that the pie was only half full. They have a really good gravy but best to ask for gravy on the side if you don’t like your food swimming. The pub itself is really nice with a good beer garden in the sun but as it got colder we migrated inside but it was quite cold inside too. I mentioned it to staff and they said they would look into it but by the time we left a hour later there was still no heat. If it was warmer we probably would have stayed longer. Staff though were really nice and helpful.”

  “Only went in because I was desperate for a wee while doing a river walk. We ordered a drink as well as it’d be rude not to as using their facilities. We decided to have a beef Sunday roast while we were there and so glad we did! The beef was really tasty and all the trimmings were cooked to perfection. Nice staff and atmosphere for a Sunday afternoon, we’ll be going back!”

  “Nipped in for a meal and a drink. Never been before. Place looks great from the outside and very welcoming inside. Staff were excellent. Very attentive and quick service. I think it was the manager/owner that also checked in on us and noticed my wife was feeling chilly at one point, so turned the heating on. The rad by our table came on in minutes. Much appreciated. The meals were great. We had chicken caeser salad and fish n chips with a berry crumble n custard dessert. A good selection of beers n lagers available. Will definitely come back here and i do recommend you try it. Thanks to the staff. 🙌🙏”

  “Staff were lovely and accommodating and totally understanding and appreciative of the critical feedback of the meals served. As the video shows the food was burnt to a crisp and made a ding sound when hit against the bowl, not acceptable at all! Would give a second chance if in the area. Good beer selection and a bit pricy.”
