Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the coffee itself, with the espresso blends at the center. One describes a flat white on blend 2, another a blueberry pie espresso, and a third an iced coconut latte with an extra shot. Several say the lightly roasted beans leave no bitterness, and one notes the swans in the latte art. Close behind are the pastries and bakes, with a pistachio croissant and a pistachio cookie named as favourites. Staff are described as friendly, and one reviewer says a barista patiently explained everything on a first visit. Some mention the relaxed atmosphere, the quiet crowd, and the outdoor decking by the water. The complaints are small. One reviewer expected proper china cups for sitting in rather than takeaway-style ones. Another says pastries run in limited amounts, so they suggest coming earlier in the morning, and one calls it a long walk from the station. Several call it the best coffee in Gloucester, and one reviewer was served Americanos with separate jugs of hot milk.

“Excellent coffee made with lightly roasted beans so there is no bitterness. We got swans in our latte art, which are not just pretty but really difficult to do - showcasing how talented the barista was. A decent amount of seating inside. And one all-genders loo as well. This is a great addition to the Gloucester coffee scene.”

“I’m a fan of this place! Excellent selection of espresso (blueberry pie is definitely my fav one) what makes this coffee shop specialty. Delicious pastries (a bit limited amounts so better come earlier in the morning) Huge thank you to stuff for making this place so great spot for enjoying fav drink”

“Wow, the coffee here is SO good, by far the best coffee in Gloucester! I got an iced coconut latte with an extra shot and it was chefs kiss. Really nice ambience too and good selection of bakes!”

“⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great coffee and brilliant sunshine at the Docks Dropped into the Scandinavian Coffee Pod at the Gloucester Food Hub with family, and it’s a brilliant little spot. The coffee itself is excellent—a massive plus is that you actually get a choice of espresso blends rather than the standard generic roast. I had a flat white, my partner had a latte, and the rest of the group went for Americanos, which were thoughtfully served with separate jugs of hot milk. The latte art was top-tier, and the pastries and cakes were very reasonably priced. We sat outside on the decking in the glorious sunshine, which gave the whole experience a fantastic, relaxed Mediterranean vibe right by the water. My only real gripe—and the reason it’s a 4 instead of a 5—was the cups. For a specialty coffee shop of this standard, I really expect proper china rather than takeaway-style or non-ceramic cups when sitting in. It just takes the edge off an otherwise premium coffee experience. That minor detail aside, the service was friendly, the location is lovely, and the espresso is spot on. Definitely worth a visit if you're down at the Docks.”
