  “Caffè Corretto presents itself heavily as an authentic Italian café, but our experience felt anything but Italian. The location at Gloucester Docks is excellent and the Italian-themed décor initially creates the right impression — unfortunately, that’s where it ended for us. The coffee tasted like ordinary commercial coffee, prices were remarkably high for what was offered, and the service was abrupt, uninterested and completely lacking in warmth. Not even a smile. A member of staff actually walked into the middle of our group to start clearing the table while we were still using it. The whole place also feels increasingly neglected: deteriorating umbrellas, damaged outdoor features and generally tired surroundings. The atmosphere and music were inconsistent, and nothing about the actual hospitality reminded us of the warmth, pride and attention to detail we’d associate with a good Italian café. Whatever the ownership or background of the people working there, that’s not the real issue — the problem is the enormous gap between the Italian identity being marketed and the experience actually delivered. Fantastic location with huge potential, but on our visit it felt like Italian branding without Italian hospitality. Hopefully the owners take a serious look at the service, maintenance, quality and value for money, because this could be so much better. VERY disappointing. Wasted trip for 10 of us🙈”

  “It's always busy and I can see why now. It feels genuinely Italian here and the coffee and food are of an extremely high quality. There is indoor and outdoor seating and there are plug sockets for customers to use which makes it quite suitable for laptop working if you are lucky to find a space. Some of the seating areas hadn't been cleaned up after customers.”

  “We visited this place for a quick breakfast. The service was good and they had a good selection of breakfast sandwiches to choose from. My only issue is with the coffee. I ordered a cappuccino which was massive and too big/milky for me to finish. I prefer Italian style shorter coffees, so be warned that you have to specifically ask for that. I would definitely come back.”

  “I ordered a cappuccino and a cake - see photo. Cake was too sweet for me. I won’t visit the shop again even the coffee was nice because the staff were not as friendly as some previous comments. Didn’t feel welcoming at all.”

  “Visited this little gem for some refreshments whilst in Gloucester. We chose the flat white & deluxe hot chocolate, which were nice. And for the snack we tried the cannelloni dessert, should be more crispy but either way it was good.”
