About England's Glory
England's Glory is a pub at 66-68 London Rd in Gloucester, with a skittle alley alongside pool and darts. The building has a front bar and a back bar, both with seating, and the back bar holds a pool table and a jukebox. Quiz nights run a couple of times a week, bingo and karaoke nights are also held, and live music is part of the programme through the year. Behind the bar, Wye Valley Butty Bach is a regular, with a guest ale usually on tap. The kitchen serves burgers and fish & chips, and screens show sports and music videos. Dogs are welcome. The pub also has a log fire.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the friendly, welcoming staff, with the pub's run by a couple who are described as chatty and accommodating, and several say it feels like being a regular on a first visit. The food comes close behind: diners praise the burgers, including a double cheeseburger with fries and cheesy garlic bread, plus the fish and chips, a bbq pulled pork hot dog and a beef Sunday roast, all with generous portions. Beer drinkers mention Butty Bach as a regular alongside a guest ale. Many also describe something on most days, including skittles, a quiz a couple of times a week, karaoke and live music on Saturdays, along with a pool table, a garden and dog-friendly outdoor seating. Reviewers call the refurbished pub clean, reasonably priced and comfortable for solo visitors. The one caveat comes from a single reviewer, who notes the car park is pay and display and suggests checking with the pub about getting money back on a purchase.

“I come to England's Glory most days as part of my role as a support worker and it's always a pleasure to visit. The staff are consistently friendly, welcoming and happy to help, which makes a real difference. The building itself is lovely, with plenty of character, and it's a comfortable place to spend some time. The prices are also very reasonable, especially considering the quality of the service. My clients always enjoy coming here and we've never had a bad experience. A great local pub with a friendly atmosphere and staff who genuinely make people feel welcome.”

“We had the beef Sunday roast here. It was excellent. As good as you'd get in any of the more foodie pubs. Generous portions, good ingredients and well prepared. It was very tasty”

“Only been in couple of times since reopened. Looks really nice from outside freshly painted and inside nicely decorated. Clean and tidy. Got front bar with plenty of seating, back bar with plenty of seating and a pool table and Jukebox. Staff friendly and welcoming. There is parking but it's a pay and display carpark but I think you get money back on a purchase, please check with pub first. Nice sized garden with seating.. This is situated on London Road on main road from Hucclecote, and other areas of Gloucester.. Within walking distance from city centre and Hill field park.. We gone few times since been reopened Bob is always chatty and welcoming and Holly is bubbly and friendly always smiling and is a pleasure to chat with. They show sports and play music videos. There is a quiz couple of times a week. Reasonably priced.. Only not given *s for food as have eaten here yet, but food does look nice, they do a Sunday roast. We have continued to use and still find it as enjoyable.”

“England's Glory has been transformed since it was taken over and refurbished in 2023. The place looks fantastic – freshly painted outside, nicely decorated inside, and always spotlessly clean. It's got a proper, cosy pub feel with a log fire and plenty of comfy seating. The staff are the real highlight here. Bob and Holly are always welcoming and up for a chat, and the rest of the team are just as friendly. It's the kind of place where you feel like a regular even on your first visit. The beer is always well-kept, with Wye Valley's Butty Bach as a regular and usually a guest ale on tap. There's loads going on too – live music on weekends, a skittle alley, pool table, darts, and a quiz a couple of times a week. They've also got a nice beer garden for sunny days and are dog-friendly outside. They do food as well, with generous portions of freshly prepared home-cooked meals at reasonable prices. A great all-rounder.”
