About Bond Restaurant & Cocktail Bar
Bond Restaurant & Cocktail Bar is a cocktail bar and restaurant on the first floor in Glasgow, open daily. The restaurant and the bar occupy separate areas. A baby grand piano anchors the bar, where live entertainers perform in the evenings. Live music runs on Friday and Saturday, and a singer plays piano on Sunday night. On the food side, the steak list includes fillet steaks and a shared tomahawk. Sunday roast arrives on a platter with a choice of beef, chicken or ham, plus macaroni cheese, Yorkshire pudding, potatoes, carrots, gravy and broccoli. Diners can add an extra meat or move up to a third. The roast for two comes with a glass of house red.

Customer Review Summary
Sunday roast is the most frequent draw, with diners calling it the best they have eaten. Reviewers single out the roast for two with extra meat, a third meat of ham, and the mac and cheese served alongside, while the chicken, gravy and Yorkshire pudding also earn mentions. Steak is close behind, from a shared tomahawk with macaroni cheese, chips and onion rings to fillet steaks described as cooked perfectly. Starters of scallops, prawns and bruschetta are called fresh and delicious. Several praise the decor as stunning, and one mentions a singer at the piano on a quiet Sunday night. Not every meal landed. The beef is the weak point for some, chewy for one diner and tough and tasteless for another, who also found the pate average, the truffle fries far too salty and the service slow, with a long wait for mains and a service charge added automatically to the bill. Servers are still repeatedly praised as friendly, and one packed up a leftover tomahawk for a reviewer's dog.

“Lovely meal, in a nice restaurant. There was a 30th birthday on when we arrived do was a little daunting walking in as it was my first time in restraunt so didnt know layout and felt like I was gate crashing. But once a member of staff directed us to table we had a great experince, good atmosphere and no issues. Will likely return. Chicken was amazing too!”

“Unfortunately quite disappointed today after our first visit for Fathers Day. Ordered from the special Fathers Day Menu which offers 2 courses for £34.95 and 3 for £39.95. The Pate was average and didn't give an impression of being home made. The Prawns however were lovely as was the soup. The Roast Beef which we expected to be a highlight was tough and quite tasteless. Thankfully the chicken main was the best part of the meal. The truffle fries were far too salty and went to waste. The service on a whole was slow. We waited and hour for our main courses. After asking for the bill I then had to ask again for someone to bring the card machine so we could pay. Stupidly I didn't read it thoroughly until I left only to find a Service charge of £20.75 automatically included. I always leave a tip if I feel the service I received was worthy. On this occasion although the staff were pleasant and professional enough they weren't very attentive. Definitely not worth such a large Service charge. A two hour lunch and we were the first table to be seated today. Total cost of £228 for 5 people, 5 soft drinks 2 x 3 courses and 3 x 2 courses. Definitely not worth the hefty price tag.”

“Visited Bond on Saturday night and had a brilliant experience from start to finish. The bruschetta starter was fresh and full of flavour, and the fillet steak was cooked perfectly! couldn’t fault it at all. The staff were welcoming, friendly, and made us feel well looked after throughout the night. Service was smooth, the atmosphere was great, and overall it was a 5-star experience. Highly recommend and will definitely be returning!”

“Me & my boyfriend were here today for a Sunday roast it was served on a platter and there was plenty for the both of us, the broccoli & beef were the least favourite the brocolli was hard i dont eant it soggy but i dont want it hard either. I'd choose chicken and only chicken as I don't like fat in foods or chewy foods and the beef was on the chewy side, although I loved the chicken, potatoes, gravy, carrots and yorkie. A special shout out to the mac and cheese also on the Sunday roast it was delicious I was so full but couldn't stop myself from taking a bite of the mac and cheese amazing!!! I would definitely return and get it again, as I would like it, and I would definitely recommend trying this place as I'm a fussy eater when it comes to meat being fatty and chewy Its only my preference my boyfriend loved it all except the Yorkshire pudding as he thought it was cooked slightly longer than needed. All in all it was lovely and we will be back.”

“Came for the Sunday Roast and we’re not disappointed! The food was absolutely delicious, easily the tastiest Sunday Roast I’ve ever had. We chose to upgrade to a 3rd meat, I think this was an extra £15, we opted for the ham. As you can see, the portions were amazing but I could have ate even more! Everything from start to finish was unreal, the big man serving was an absolute gent and looked after us from start to finish, hats off to him. I hate this term, however 10/10 from me, will definitely be back”
