  “Old school pub. Won’t be for everyone but it’s a great wee bar. Got a main bar and a lounge. Private room too for functions Pool table had the football on and the prices are very good. £4.25 for a Tennents can’t be grumbled at. Would visit again”

  “I honestly can’t say enough good things about Wintergills — it is hands down the best pub in Glasgow. From the atmosphere to the people, everything about it is just spot on. It’s such a warm, welcoming, and accepting place, and you always feel comfortable the second you walk in. A special shoutout has to go to Kathleen, who is an absolute gem behind the bar. She’s always so friendly, kind, and genuinely lovely to us every single time we’re in. She makes such an effort with everyone and really adds to the whole experience — she’s honestly one of the main reasons we keep coming back! The pub itself has everything you could want: the best pool table, great student discounts, and such a fun vibe — especially on Wednesdays when I’m there with my soccer girls. It’s become our favourite midweek spot and we always have the best time. If you’re in Glasgow and looking for a pub with amazing staff, great energy, and a proper community feel, this is the place. Absolutely love it!”

  “Love this wee pub!! So cosy, and reasonably priced. Had been in before and didn’t think much of it, the place seems to have a new vibe under new management and excited to see what events are organised here! Staff are all really friendly and regulars are welcoming.”

  “Great pub been coming here with my family for about 10-13 years and started coming since 2024 when I turned 18 very reasonable prices in this economy and the bar staff are very polite and outgoing would definitely recommend and if your into football definitely place too be to watch games”

  “Amazing prices, especially with their 20% off discount for students. We reserved one of their spaces for an American Thanksgiving potluck dinner, and the bar staff went above and beyond to make sure we felt at home and were accommodated for. Special thanks to Lisa, Molly, and Ryan. Will definitely be back!”

  “This is an old traditional pub in the heart of Glasgow's West End on great western rd. It can be very noisy with its highly male clientele. The atmosphere is old school with a great ambiance and good old homely comfort Service was great, friendly staff and nearly all the food was excellent. The batter on the fish and halloumi was really crispy. Best dish was the sticky chicken fillets which had a lovely tangy taste. The only dish that let down an otherwise excellent feast was the Mac Cheese which was insipid and lacked correct texture and taste. All in all a good culinary experience.”
