About Valley Farm - Farmhouse Inns
Valley Farm - Farmhouse Inns is a carvery pub in Gateshead, on First Ave in Team Valley Trading Estate. The carvery counter serves meats such as gammon, turkey or beef, with gravy, plenty of vegetables and Yorkshire puddings alongside. Desserts and large cakes are on offer for after the main course. An indoor kids' play area gives families somewhere for children to burn off energy between courses, and the pub runs a pub quiz night for those who want an evening out. Guests order through the app or a QR code at the table or bar, and waiter service brings the food out. A beer garden is part of the site, and parking is free.

Customer Review Summary
The carvery is what reviewers return to most, with the beef and other meats described as tender and melt in the mouth, and a thick, tasty gravy that one diner notes is vegetarian. Close behind are the cakes and desserts, called massive, terrific and delicious, plus generous portions and a good choice of vegetables. Staff draw repeated praise as friendly, helpful and welcoming, with several saying the service alone would bring them back. Families mention the soft play for kids, and one reviewer says the pub quiz and the app's spin the wheel prize made their visit. One reviewer compares it favourably with Toby carvery on value. The main complaints are a long carvery queue, which meant one group's children finished their meals before the adults sat down, and desserts running out early in the afternoon, leaving one diner with their third choice, Mars Attack. Another reviewer's three-star visit hinged on a server sliding a plate across the table.

“Toni was our server and she was decent especially when she got us cheese. She also was good at sliding my food over to me and allowing me to catch it before it slid off the table. Think she wanted to see if I had quick reactions. 👌”

“Haven't been to Valley farm in ages. My god it didn't disappoint! 😋 The carvery was absolutely banging! Daniel was a lovely host, very warming. The deserts are delicious. We went to Toby carvery and it was very disappointing. Valley farm is way better and better value for money! We will definitely be back very soon!”

“We always have a great time here. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the service is excellent. All the staff are friendly, attentive and make you feel genuinely welcome from the moment you arrive. A special mention must go to Nathan. He goes above and beyond to make our visits extra special, and his fantastic personality really makes a difference. He has a real knack for making our visits memorable. It’s the perfect place to enjoy great food, a lovely atmosphere and outstanding service. We always look forward to coming back.”

“Had a lovely meal Saturday 4th October at the Team Vally Farmhouse inn. Was able to get a table straight away which was good. The service from the staff was exceptional they were really friendly easy to chat with espesially Andrea who took our food a d drinks order. The place wasnt too busy so noise was at a level that i like for my 2 adult sons who are autistic and were hungry after our walk. I told Andrea we would definatly be coming back.”

“An unexpected Sunday visit to Valley Farm – Farmhouse Inns, and we managed to get a table without having to book, which was a pleasant surprise considering how busy it was! We opted for the carvery, while the boys went for Hunter’s Chicken and Chicken Nuggets. The carvery queue, however… 😳 MASSIVE! 😂 We went straight over to get ours after ordering, but by the time we'd made it through the queue, the boys had already had their meals made, delivered to the table AND eaten before we'd even sat down! 😂 Thankfully, the wait was worth it. The meat was lovely, there was a good choice of vegetables, everything was served nice and hot, and the staff were friendly and helpful. 👍 Then came the important bit… DESSERT! 🍰😂 We decided we'd take desserts away, only to discover that my first AND second choices were sold out. 😩 Now, I could understand that later in the day, but we were still in the early afternoon! How have two of my dessert choices already disappeared?! 😂 So I had to settle for my third choice — Mars Attack. 🍫 I'm sure it will be perfectly edible, but let's be honest… when you've already decided what dessert you're having in your head and then discover it's unavailable, the replacement is never quite as exciting! 😂 The toilets were also clean and tidy, which is always worth mentioning. 👍 A good unexpected Sunday meal. Lovely carvery, plenty of veg, hot food, friendly staff and clean facilities. Just need to work on keeping a few more desserts available — especially before the afternoon has properly got going! 😂🍰 Would definitely visit again… although next time I'm checking the dessert situation BEFORE I get my heart set on something! 😂”
