Customer Review Summary

Bingo nights lead the praise at this LGBTQ bar, with reviewers calling them a laugh and describing regulars who will chat with anyone, even strangers. Close behind is the regular entertainment lineup of cabaret, karaoke, music bingo and charity nights, plus a drag performer described as hilarious and a hostess said to do a great job. Drinks are repeatedly called cheap or reasonable, and one reviewer singles out the litre cocktail jugs. Staff are described as friendly and excellent. The main trade-off is space. The bar is small inside and can get busy, though reviewers note outdoor seating, and one says prices go up after certain times. Another calls the place a bit of a rough hole. Several say they will return, and one mentions the key draw for a bar tab among the regular nights.

“⭐⭐ We visited Tipsy Cow before heading off on the Newcastle Prosecco Bike, which was absolutely fantastic and such a good laugh! 🥂🚲 Tipsy Cow itself was lovely, the drinks were great and we had a really nice time. Unfortunately, one of our group overheard a member of staff referring to us as “common as muck” because we were from Scarborough. We found this really unnecessary and quite insulting, especially as we were there to enjoy a hen do and have a good time. It’s a real shame because we otherwise enjoyed the venue and the drinks were lovely. Unfortunately, hearing comments like that from staff has left us not wanting to return, which is disappointing as we would have happily visited again.”
