About The Swan
At 91 Farnborough Rd in Farnborough, The Swan is a pub where guests cook their own food at a fire pit BBQ, with blankets provided for the occasion. The kitchen makes its food in house and serves a roast with extra roast potatoes. A range of drinks sits alongside the food, and a boozy bingo evening gives the pub a social event for groups of friends. A private dining room gives larger parties a space of their own, and dogs are welcome. Parking is at the side of the pub.

Customer Review Summary
Sunday roast is what reviewers return to most, with several calling it delicious and one naming it among the best they have had. Extra roast potatoes on the house were a touch that one diner singled out. Close behind is the fire pit BBQ, where one group cooked their own food over the fire and found it easy, fun and generous for the money, with blankets provided against the cold. Diners also praise well presented food made in house, a lovely outdoor seating area, and friendly, attentive service, with one table calling the team extremely accommodating. The caveats are specific. One reviewer says portions are on the smaller side, and another points to stairs and having to walk through the pub to reach the beer garden despite locked gates, which they think is hard on disabled and elderly people. The sharpest complaint describes being moved twice for reserved tables when none were marked and the room was nearly empty, then being told to sit "anywhere there isn't cutlery" before leaving.

“We drove here today from Dorchester to watch the Farnborough Airshow. We didn't know what to expect not being from the area. What we found was a lovely pub with great customer service and really delicious and well presented food. There is a beautiful seating area outside and then further seating if that gets busy. We will definitely come here again. We met some great people to whilst we were plane spotting. What a lovely day we have had. Thankyou.”

“Got told to take a seat… Got moved twice when trying to sit down, being told twice each table reserved… asked the third time where are we supposed to sit “anywhere there isn’t cutlery” are we mind readers? No reserved signs or anything on any tables and the entire place was virtually empty. This place has gone down hill massively since I used to come here years ago. Will not be bothering again! We left, at somewhere that has the ability to provide service and how to seat people at tables properly. The end”

“The Swan in Farnborough is a lovely find for a Sunday roast. The food is truly delicious—definitely one of the best roasts I’ve enjoyed! The service is attentive and warm, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The environment is pleasant, perfect for a relaxing meal. We were pleasantly surprised to receive extra roast potatoes on the house, which was a delightful touch. If you’re looking for a great spot to unwind with a fantastic meal, The Swan is worth a visit!”

“The food here is absolutely brilliant! Everything is made in house (which is so rare for pubs nowadays) and they always have a great range of drinks on offer. Boozy bingo is always a great evening too!”

“Just down the road from the hotel I stayed in. Worth the short walk, while owned by the hotel I found the food to be one level up in choice. The service is exceptional like the hotels and the atmosphere very relaxed and quiet. Would recommend eating here if you are starting a few nights locally.”
