Customer Review Summary
Breakfast dishes draw the most consistent praise, with reviewers repeatedly singling out the pancakes as light and fluffy, the smashed avocado on toast, and waffles described as crispy and fluffy. Close behind, the coffee gets called out again and again as rich and well balanced, alongside the Biscoff milkshake and a soup on sourdough toast. Several mention homemade cakes and smoked salmon with cream cheese, and many describe the owner and staff as warm, welcoming, and accommodating, with one reviewer recounting being given a free drink and a snack after a mix-up with a milkshake order. Against this, one reviewer describes a surly waitress, confusion over a latte order, and a first coffee served lukewarm that had to be remade, alongside frustration at prices for a coconut jam triangle slice and a thin wedge of Victoria sponge. That reviewer said they were unsure about returning, a contrast to most others who describe planning to come back.

“How can you justify £4.50 for a coconut jam triangle slice? The thin wedge of Victoria sponge was £5.50. I used to love coming here. The waitress was rather surly today. I asked for a normal latte and an extra hot skinny latte with one shot. I asked which was which. She said “Both the same made with semi skimmed milk. Anyway there is only 1 shot in the cup. “ The coffee was lukewarm so I asked her to make me a fresh one. This was better… but also bitter compared to the first cup. Not sure we will be returning.”

“Really nice cafe. Owner kindly gave me a card to say I could have a free drink on my next visit, after barista wasn't around to make my milkshake (it still tasted fine though!). Went today for my free milkshake and they also told me to take a snack. Very generous and kind service. Plus the drinks and the food taste great!”
