  “Tonight I went to Pizza Geeks on Easter Road with my wife and daughter for pizza and drinks. We were meeting a group of friends — five other mums and four more children, all around five years old. We were the last to arrive, and when we got there, the other adults at the table were already having drinks. I went to the bar to order a beer for myself and a drink for my wife, but we were refused alcohol. When I asked why, I was told that because we were with children, we were not allowed to drink. I was honestly shocked and confused. Everyone else at our table, who were also there with children, was already drinking. Neither my wife nor I had consumed any alcohol before arriving, and we certainly did nothing to justify being refused service. The whole situation made us feel extremely uncomfortable and, frankly, discriminated against simply because we were accompanied by our children. We were left with the impression that perhaps families with children were not welcome in the restaurant. If Pizza Geeks does not want families with children drinking alcohol on the premises, then this should be made clear to customers before they enter. What a disappointing experience. We came to enjoy a pizza and spend time with friends and our children, and instead we left feeling unwelcome and embarrassed.”

  “Love the food from Pizza geeks especially the gf options (although cross contamination could be ab issue for celiacs). But they have seriously messed up the last couple of orders we have made for collection. One o phoned in as I didn’t see the gf options on the app. They next time I used the app, but not only was it an hour for collection, they gave us - different pizza then we ordered. They have been quick to offer to replace the pizza and on the first occasion also gave us free drinks. But the extra wait the second time meant someone in the group had to wait for their food. Also the app doesn’t recognise previous orders in its loyalty scheme ☹️. Love to support a local business, but you need to up your game guys!”

  “This place is wonderful. The pizzas are outstanding, the goats cheese and haggis dough balls were incredible - you can choose your filling, that's what I chose! The drinks were delicious, we had margaritas! I was here for a week doing a show as part of the Edinburgh Fringe and Callie, best employee ever, was so kind. She went above and beyond to ensure that every performer felt supported at the venue, even offering further support to ensure better audiences and a personalised experience. I really cannot thank Callie enough for the attention to detail and the warmth she gave myself and visiting friends/audience. It certainly is a special place, with pizza that is top of its game and lots of friendly welcomes. If this is what Edinburgh is about, I can't wait to come back and visit Pizza Geeks again!”

  “A gaming. anime and manga themed bar/resturant, with 1980s decor. The staff are informal and friendly and the food is exceptionally good. The pizzas are delicious, made fresh and are cooked in a traditional wood fired pizza oven. Great starters (too stuffed for dessert) and a good selection of beers and cocktails. I can't fault it.”

  “Place made for gamers definitely :3 But even if u don’t play games you can enter as they don’t check 😁 . Staff members are super nice 👌 Pizza is amazing, like a heaven - and I known thing or two about pizza. Pie is made out of good flour, smooth cheese and good quantity of ingredients. It’s my second time in Edinburgh and second visit at this place - definitely not last! Prices are decent too. Recommend 10/10”

  “Delicious dinner at Pizza Geeks on Easter Road! The new menu is brilliant with lots of new pizzas to try. I went for the White Walker and the nduja was delish and the pickled chilli’s really added to it. I can’t go to pizza geeks without getting the dragon balls - they can’t be faulted! As always, such a lovely vibe, friendly staff and just a yummy experience!”

  “Nerds, unite! At this delicious pizza joint with nerd esthetic. Oh, and free video games and board games. Really fun environment with good, old school 90s music, arcade games, table games, and a big projector to watch cartoons (SpongeBob was on). I had the Dragon Ballz and the dough was down right amazing!”

  “Our fave pizza place in Edinburgh. Delicious pizza with a great atmosphere. Pineapple Express is my favourite. Fun arcade and tv/ movies in the background. Good music too. Peter is so friendly and really gives you a warm welcome! All the staff are great. 😊”

  “Always on the hunt for the best pizza, and this time outside of our home town and on the hunt for scotlands best! Well an afternoon passing and getting hungry we decided to stop here for a nice bite to eat. Ordered a Mario pizza, always believe you have to be able to get basics right when it comes to pizza! And also ordered some Mac and cheese bites. Let’s talk pizza, dough was up my street almost New York style, real crispy and charred base, solid hold but without being chewy which is always a good sign. The cheese was certainly store bought and probably not the most premium cheese they could have used, kinda lacked any real taste but wasn’t awful. Also an over use of dried herbs really did over power the pizza as a whole which was really disappointing to be honest. A nice tangy fresh tomato base, salty, juicy and really made harmony with the dough. The mac n cheese bites were nice touch, creamy cheesy and nice snack. All in all a pretty decent pizza, really could up their game with a few changes and improvements and probably contend with some heavyweight pizza makers. Would score this visit a solid 7.5/10 Nice spot very geeky and chilled, kinda got pub vibe but also restaurant and games vibe. Go check them out.”

  “Tasty pizza and a fun atmosphere. You can see them cooking the pizza fresh and the staff were friendly and attentive. Enjoyed the pizza and the Mac and cheese bites. The drinks were nice too. There's a selection of games in the back that are free to play. Had a great time!”
