  “Delicious brunch location, well worth the hype. I was on a day trip to Edinburgh when Gemini suggested this place as a great brunch before my walking tour started. Everyone is so lovely and kind. I turned up with no reservation (I highly recommend you have one as the space is small-ish so books up quickly), but they offered me a table for 30mins later. I waited and it was worth the wait. The food was delicious, service attentive and overall great vibes. They also try their best to offer walk-ins a table within the next hour. I’m really glad I waited, even though I only had 30mins to order, drink, and eat. They made it happen.”

  “I had the eggs Florentine, which was made with incredibly fresh & dense spinach and rich hollandaise sauce. It was wonderful. My Earl Grey tea was served with warm milk and the cutest little carafe of honey. My husband enjoyed his flat white. He got the full Scottish breakfast and couldn’t finish it - though he wished could - it was so big! We also got a side of pancakes. Definitely unnecessary, but so good! We met the owner while we were eating, who was so nice, and as far as ambience—a real candle was burning in each window at 9 AM!”

  “This was the best breakfast we had in our time in Edinburgh. We had the sesame sunrise bowl, which was phenomenal, the crispy scallions stole the show in this dish. It was a very fun combination of flavors. I would highly recommend, and this is coming from a picky eater. We also had the banana bread tumble as a savory option, which was a nice switch if your go to is normally French toast dishes. It appears overly sweet, however in eating it, it was just the perfect amount of sweet. I cannot recommend this place enough.”

  “"Hidden" gem! Perfect for breakfast, brunch or lunch. Tasty local food and drinks, quality ingredients and very friendly staff. Even though it's a bit tight space-wise, I thoroughly enjoyed the place and the food. I had the Breakfast stack pancakes and some home made ginger beer, one word: terrific! Fluffy pancakes, quality bacon, crunchy hashbrown (amazing little snack) and some nice scrambled eggs. The ginger beer was refreshing and delectable. Not ice cold, but the taste more than made up for it. I was really hungry (big guy), and left thoroughly satisfied. Would absolutely recommend this place!”

  “I got the Scottish breakfast and it was very good! The portion was big, the scrambled eggs were so soft and amazing. The staff were so nice and friendly. I didn’t have a reservation and had to wait 45 mins but they take your name so i could explore the area and didn’t have to wait in line, definitely worth the wait”

  “Okay but not worth the hype. Had salmon hash which was just a bowl of a lot of potato with a bit of salmon on top and one small over done poached egg. The pancakes were good and warm. Personally think much better brunch and food spots about for the money. Service and atmosphere nice enough.”
