Customer Review Summary

Diners single out the Full Scottish Breakfast as the standout, repeatedly praising its perfectly cooked elements, generous portions, and the way the haggis pairs with everything on the plate. Close behind are the poached eggs three ways with hollandaise, the pancake stack with bacon, and the coffee, with several noting the latte with peanut butter and caramel syrup as exceptional. A few highlight the gluten-free options and the Bellini as particularly tasty. Service is consistently described as friendly, attentive, and efficient, even in a busy, tight space. Some reviewers mention waits for walk-ins, though the system of taking names allows exploration nearby. One reviewer reports uneven portion sizes between the Eggs Mexicana and Breakfast Stack Pancakes, calling the former too small for the price. Another notes a chipped cappuccino cup. Several suggest booking ahead.

I got the Scottish breakfast and it was very good! The portion was big, the scrambled eggs were so soft and amazing. The staff were so nice and friendly. I didn’t have a reservation and had to wait 45 mins but they take your name so i could explore the area and didn’t have to wait in line, definitely worth the wait

food was delicious and definitely worth trying. We had to wait for a bit since we didn’t have a reservation, but it was understandable given how busy they were. The staff were also very accommodating and friendly, which made the experience even better. Would recommend, just make sure to book ahead next time!

First introduction to a full Scottish breakfast and man it blew my mind. Everything was cooked wonderfully. The textures were all perfect. The haggis/pudding or whatever it was paired right with everything on the dish. Each element was a …

Such a good find. We walked over after another nearby brunch spot had a long wait and got a table as a walk-in at 12 midday on a Saturday, which already felt like a win in Edinburgh. Really good independent brunch place with genuinely great gluten free options. I had poached eggs three ways: roasted ham, sweet chilli fried chicken and slow cooked beef with peppercorn sauce, all with eggs and hollandaise. Everything was excellent. My girlfriend had a latte with peanut butter and caramel syrup which was unreal, and the coffee in general was seriously good. The atmosphere was busy but chilled, quirky artwork and lighting throughout, and all the food coming out of the kitchen looked incredible. Staff were lovely too. Friendly, down to earth, turning tables well without making you feel rushed or pressured. Would 100% recommend checking it out if you’re after a good brunch and coffee spot in Edinburgh.

Great brunch restaurant! Friendly and attentive staff and their food is amazing. We actually tried to book a table but apparently didn’t hit the last confirmation button, however, there was a spot open and we were assigned a seat. Their pancake stack with bacon was great. The Bellini very tasty. Can only recommend

Every listing is re-checked on a recurring crawl, and anything reported as wrong is corrected at the source rather than patched on the page.
How it is ranked
Placement is never sold. Every business on the page is ordered and compared using the same public signals, so an owner cannot pay to move up.
